Millions of pilgrims are set to arrive in Rome for the Millennium.
For the religious souvenir trade, it's big business, and factories are churning out millions of jubilee memorabilia.
Millions of religious pilgrims are set to converge on Rome for the Millennium.
For months, factories all over Italy have been busy churning out religious memorabilia.
One company Uno A Erre is set to make up to 200-thousand pieces, a total turnover of three billion lire (one million 660-thousand dollars).
All the products sport the official jubilee logo authorised by the Holy See who receive a royalty.
Smaller businesses are also keen to cash in, printing specialised guide books, slides of religious monuments and pictures.
There's also a Holy Year Saint Calendar made up of 365 self-adhesive saint icons, one for each day of the year.
Shops around the Vatican are already doing brisk business as shoppers buy rosaries, medals and religious pictures.
