Bellringing at St Peter & St Paul, Pickering, North Yorkshire
On the next part of my Ryedale ringing adventure, and this is my personal favourite out of all the towers we rang at, St Peter & St Paul at Pickering. Pickering Church is famous for it's paintings on the walls, and Pickering is a town I quite often visited as a child, especially to go on the North York Moors Railway. The bells here at Pickering are a 13 cwt Mears and Stainbank ring of 8 tuned to F, the bells were bast in 1919 and they are rung from the ground floor, which to me is slightly unconventional in a town church, but there are plenty town churchs with ground floor rings out there. These bells are absolutely beautiful, when we rang Queens while ringing call changes, they sounded immaculate!! Also look out for the fidget spinner that appears in the video!!

Pickering is an ancient market town and civil parish in the Ryedale district of North Yorkshire, England, on the border of the North York Moors National Park. Historically part of the North Riding of Yorkshire, Pickering sits at the foot of the moors, overlooking the Vale of Pickering to the south. According to legend the town was founded by King Peredurus around 270 BC; however, the town as it exists today is of medieval origin.
The tourist venues of Pickering Parish Church, with its medieval wall paintings, Pickering Castle, the North Yorkshire Moors Railway and Beck Isle Museum have made Pickering popular with visitors. Nearby places include Malton, Norton and Scarborough.
Pickering is situated at the junction of the A170, which links Scarborough with Thirsk, and the A169 linking Malton and Whitby. Located in the northern part of the UK, Pickering has a temperate maritime climate which is dominated by the passage of mid-latitude depressions.
The Beck Isle Museum is housed in a Regency period residence near the centre of town, adjacent to the Pickering Beck, a stream that flows under a four-arched road bridge. Dalby Forest is on the southern slopes of the North York Moors National Park. The southern part of the forest is divided by valleys creating a 'Rigg and Dale' landscape whilst to the north, the forest sits on the upland plateau.
North York Moors National Park Authority works to promote enjoyment and encourage understanding of the area by the public and balance it with conservation. The North Yorkshire Moors Railway is a heritage railway. The 18-mile (29 km) line is the second-longest heritage line in the United Kingdom and runs across the moors from Pickering via Levisham, Newton Dale and Goathland to Grosmont.
Pickering Castle is situated at the edge of the moors. It is a classic, well-preserved example of an early motte and bailey castle refortified in stone during the 13th and 14th centuries, centred upon a shell keep crowning an impressive motte. There is an exhibition in the chapel. Pickering Church has a Saxon foundation, but the earliest phases of the present building date to the 12th and 13th centuries, with substantial additions in the 14th and 15th. Saint Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, on Potter Hill, was designed by the architect Leonard Stokes in 1911.

Pickering St Peter and St Paul's Church Clock Chimes 1 o'clock
The church striking 12:
Bells of the church:
This time, I managed to record the full Westminster Chimes, in which I missed the first quarter on the previous attempt of recording the clock chimes of St Peter and St Paul's Church in Pickering. I was a bit out of breath as a result of rushing up the high street to the church and climbing the steps and having my phone ready. The clock is a Potts of Leeds Clock as it says in the inside of the church, and the bells are a 13 cwt ring of 8 tuned to F, cast by Mears and Stainbank, which I rang last year, and that video is on the endscreen.

St Peter & St Paul Church, Seal Kent
Here I take a look at the medieval church of St Peter & St Paul in the Kentish village of Seal with a backdrop of the North Downs.
The Church dates back to the 13th century & was altered considerably in the 15th & early 16th centuries. The furnishings include a Perpendicular Font, a 17th century pulpit & fine Victorian stained glass windows.....

Anstey Church
A fly around the Parish Church of St Mary's in Anstey, Leicestershire.
The present Vicar, David McDonough suggested a flight after seeing the Teddy Bear flight I did at Thurcaston Parish Church earlier this year (you can just catch him ducking out of the way at one point in the video).
It was a very blowy day, and inside the Church, the drone kept drifting due to echoes on the sonar but overall it gives a good idea of this lovely piece of Architecture.

St Peter Church Coughton Court Warwickshire.
The parish church dedicated to St. Peter and situated next to Coughton Court consists of a chancel, north and south chapels, nave, north and south aisles, south porch, and west tower, with walls of rubble and ashlar. The building of the present church is attributed to Sir Robert Thockmorton between 1486 and 1518 but parts of the tower are older and the plan of the nave follows the plan of an earlier structure; the church was included in the original endowment of Studley Priory at its foundation by Peter Corbucion in the 12th century. At the Dissolution the church passed to Sir George Throckmorton, the then steward of the priory. The nave contains the table tomb of Sir Robert Throckmorton, topped by a large slab of black marble, but his remains do not lie here and the tomb is occupied by a later Sir Robert Throckmorton, 4th Baronet who died in 1791. Sir Robert died on pilgrimage to the Holy Land in 1518 leaving in his will money for the depiction of Doom in stained glass in the East window, the Seven Sacraments in the North chapel and the Seven Acts of Mercy in the South chapel. Fragments of these appear to be scattered amongst the jumbled glass in some of the aisle windows.
The survey of the clergy by the puritans in 1586 described the then vicar, Thomas Penford as; dumbe & vnlearned, a verie aged man, he can scarce reade, yet he hath learning enough for 2 benefices; for he reapeth the fruite of Studley & Coughton both, he hath of late gotten him a certaine hireling to serue his turne at both places, one Robt. Cathell a seelie Welshman that can scarce reade English distinctlie. The valew of both is better then xx by the yeare.
