Deerpark Lodge, Staunton Harold, Ashby-de-la-Zouch, Leicestershire
Deerpark Lodge is situated in a woodland clearing within private parkland in the grounds of Staunton Harold Hall. The Staunton Harold Estate is a traditional country estate of some 2,000 acres centred on the great Georgian mansion.
Nestling in a corner of north west Leicestershire, close to the Derbyshire border Deerpark Lodge, built using estate timber for its frame and cladding, provides a contemporary retreat overlooking the parkland.
Accessed via its own drive and entrance Deerpark Lodge still has access to the craft centre, tea rooms, delicatessen (at weekends) and garden nursery which forms part of the Staunton Harold Estate. There are also magnificent lakes which guests can fish by arrangement at nil charge and there are numerous walks throughout the estate. Occupants of the lodge can access the 28 acres of privately owned land which is otherwise not open to the public.

Andy's Driving videos around Derby, Derbyshire, UK :
Are you an ex-pat of Derby, feeling homesick? Or perhaps you just want a clear way of giving someone directions to a location in Derby or just want to show people your Derby Street. Well in this video and the many others I have made, you will be able to take a virtual drive around the city of Derby's streets as though you were in the driving seat. I use a dash-mounted camera, Traffic lights and heavy traffic have been edited out.
Best watched at 720p fullscreen (if your system/net connection is up to it).
Why not start with the original video and watch them all one by one...

Twyfords Classic/HL AS Clena, Ferris Centre, Staunton Harold Estate (Ladies/Disabled)
This is the ladies/Disabled toilet at the Ferris Centre.
Nice to come back here again. I filmed the gents last time and I thought I should check out the disabled this time and what an awesome find!
Now this is rather an unusual layout. Basically, the ladies and disabled toilets share the same main door entrance, so I thought that they'd be 2 different doors for ladies and disabled afterwards but instead it's just cubicles, with a sink in the main area. I didn't check the standard ladies cubicle but it was likely a LL Kensington like the gents. But I looked in the disabled cubicle and struck gold! We have a Twyfords Classic with a HL AS Clena! Good flush as well. Also, what's impressive is that that having being on the Ferris Centre website, it looks like this as well as the gents was a former stable!
Overall Ladies/Disabled Grade: A- (Didn't check the standard ladies cubicle, but the disabled cubicle is brilliant!)

CHURCH OF THE HOLY CROSS, UPPER LANGWITH, DERBYSHIRE
A small Norman church with no aisle. Sadly, it lost a Norman Arch, but retained a 13th Century lancet. The East Window is 14th Century as is the porch. The ancient timbered roof is the most striking feature of the Church. Visits can be arranged through the Parish office. The river Poulter is nearby. The area was known for coal mining. This collection also shows views from the churchyard. The church is well worth a visit.
