Wyoming Vacation
Wyoming is one of the best vacation spots in the U.S. There are a number of places of great tourist attraction. Some of them are The Buffalo Bill Historical Center in Cody, National Museum of Wildlife Art in Jackson, Wyoming State Capitol in Cheyenne, Cody Night Rodeo in Cody, the Grand Targhee Ski Resorts in Jackson and Alta. For tourists who prefer the wonders of nature to man made ones, Wyoming presents the Old Faithful and Mammoth Hot Springs in Yellowstone National Park, National Elk Refuge in Jackson, Bighorn Canyon National Recreation Area, and Thunder Basin National Grassland. Wyoming is famous for its game and fishing. It also offers horseback riding, golf and rock climbing
Each season provides a different experience in Wyoming. Summer is the best time to visit the state. Climate is moderate at this time of the year. Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks are open to cars in summer. In summer, tourists can enjoy disc golf, hiking, and horseback riding, biking, rafting and kayaking. In winter, Wyoming offers skiing, snowboarding, snowmobiling, dog sledding, paragliding, and ballooning. Winter is the time for heli-skiing, snowcat skiing, snowshoeing, Nordic skiing, sleigh rides, hot spring sightseeing, and much more.
The spring season is a beautiful time to visit Wyoming too. Wildlife is aplenty in Wyoming and viewing animals is more common during spring, as they come down to the snow-free valley to feed. Fall brings with it a huge crowd of elks. It is the time for hunting. However, hunting is not allowed in the National Parks.
There is a variety of accommodation available in Wyoming, ranging from luxury spa resorts, ranches, log cabins, hotels, motels, lodges and houses for rent. There are direct flights to Jackson Hole and Cody.

Boondocking near Yellowstone
Leaving Grand Teton and heading to Yellowstone. We stayed about 15 minutes outside the West entrance to Yellowstone in the Targhee National Forest at the Targhee Creek Trailhead. This was a great boondocking area with an excellent Verizon cell signal.
Our favorite Yellowstone attraction was definitely the Grand Prismatic Spring. It was an amazing site to see. Yellowstone is a must visit National park!

Coco Belle Public Access Project
Big things can and do come in small packages. Here’s a perfect example.
In the shadows of the Teton Mountains of western Wyoming near the Idaho border, the Coco Belle project covers a mere 44 acres but it improves access for hunters, hikers and others to more than six thousand acres of what was previously difficult-to-reach public land.
And Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation volunteers played a key role in making it all happen.
A father-daughter duo –both RMEF members– developed a relationship with the landowners and notified RMEF about the parcel.
From there, RMEF worked with the landowners to place it in the public’s hands under management of the Wyoming Game and Fish Department.
Before, reaching nearby Bureau of Land Management land and the Caribou-Targhee National Forest from this point, as well as the Jedediah Smith Wilderness Area and the Grand Teton National Park beyond that was nearly impossible.
Now, the riparian, mountain forest, meadow and foothills habitat is permanently protected…and benefits a wide variety of bird and animal life including elk, moose and mule deer, plus those who seek to access such country.
Opening and improving public access lies at the heart of RMEF’s conservation mission.

Mesa Falls on the Snake River, Idaho
Not far off Highway 47 beyond Ashton in the Targhee National Forest, on the Mesa Falls Scenic Byway, you can hear the thunder of both Upper and Lower Mesa Falls. Two spectacular waterfalls on the Henrys Fork of the Snake River. Paved parking and paths, accessible restrooms, boardwalks and viewing platforms at Upper Mesa Falls enhance the site for the visitor. Viewing of Lower Mesa Falls is from Grandview Campground and Overlook. In winter the road is closed by snow and groomed for snowmobiling and Nordic skiing. Mesa Falls day pass can also be used at Harriman State Park and Henry's Lake State Park on the day of purchase.

This is a stop at the beautifaul Snake River.

Wind River Canyon Wyoming // Fulltime RV Family Living Coast 2 Coast
The Wind River Canyon is located between Shoshoni and Thermopolis Wyoming. The highway runs along the east side of the Bighorn River and train tracks run along the west side.
The river is fun to simply watch and the mountains are gorgeous.
There were a few recent rock slides and workers were still cleaning up the area. Watch for Falling Rocks.
