The Battle of Vukovar-5 Minutes For Remembrance///
/The Battle of Vukovar-5 minutes for Remembrance, PSYCHOPATHIC HOMICIDAL SERBIAN PRIMITIVISM and GENOCIDE!!!The Battle of Vukovar was the largest and the bloodiest battle in the Homeland war. This was the 87-day siege of the Croatian city of Vukovar by the Yugoslav People's Army, with the help of Serb paramilateral forces from August to November 1991. During the Homeland war. The battle ended with the defeat of the local choir of the National Guard, the great destruction of Vukovar and the numerous killings and persecution of the Croatian population. The fighting in Vukovar killed about 900 defenders of the city, and after the capture in mass war crimes there were still about 600. More than 1,000 Croatian defenders were killed in battles in the wider area around Vukovar, which also represented part of the battle. About 1,000 civilians were killed, and about 7,000 Croatian soldiers and civilians ended up in prison camps in Serbia, where they were mostly subjected to harassment, in some cases very ferocly.
In 2019, the Franciscan Monastery in Vukovar presented the name list of Vukovar victims in the Homeland war, which includes 2717 names. [6] Otherwise, Vukovar had 44,639 inhabitants before the war, of which 21,065 Croats, 14,425 Serbs 94 German, 694 Hungarians and 8,361 others. 7
During the Battle of Vukovar, according to Croatian estimates, the assailant lost about 6,000 soldiers, out of a total of about 30,000 enlisted members of the Land Army that included the strongest armored units that the JNA had to dispose of. Of these losses, the attacker lost it around 2,500 in battles for the city itself. Serbian military data speak of 1,200 dead soldiers; In which the number – which does not cover the wounded soldiers – is certainly not counted by members of various Serb paramilitary units. 8
Although the battle represented a significant military defeat and a symbolic loss for Croatia-which did not regain control of the city until 1998. She only represented Pirov's victory for the JNA. It was shown that after the end of the battle, JNA was no longer capable of conducting a further attack which, by merging with the forces of the Banja Luka Corps, which were already deployed in the part of Western Slavonia, would allow the occupation of all Slavonia, and further Penetration towards Varaždin and the Croatian capital in Zagreb, as was the plan of the JNA. Thus, the persistent defence of Vukovar proved crucial to halt the main attack on Croatia. The Drama of the battle also helped Croatia gain international support for its independence. [9] Until today, the victim of Vukovar in Croatia is respected as one of the key moments of the homeland war
