The small town and village of Selca, with a centuries long tradition of stone-cutting, lies on the eastern coast of Brac. The Church of Christ the King, which is often nicknamed the cathedral of Brac, was built in New Romanesque style and dominates the central square in Selca. The Selca community includes also the Sumartin and Povlja resorts with their beautiful beaches. The coast, which is about 2 km from the town, is occupied by the tourist quarters of Puntinak and Ruzmarin. The Puntinak district of Selca is the home of the famous Santa Barbara beach with a wonderful view of the Sumartin resort.

THE CATHEDRAL IN KRK
Church of the Assumption
The long history of the Diocese of Krk and its faith as old as Christianity itself is spread throughout the Kvarner. In ancient times, this was the case all along the coast, and then there was a time when the deep faith was only represented in the heart of the island, in the city of Krk and then, since 1828, it was represented on all the islands , The cathedral is the bearer of all spiritual, cultural, scientific and glagolitic achievements (Old Slavic Academy, 1902).
The cathedral Krk is the center of the diocese. It is a five-storey basilica with three naves dating back to the 5th century, together with the Romanesque church of St. Quirinus, the patron saint of the 12th century, and the belfry with the guardian trumpet-playing angel from the 16th century and the chapel St. Barbara, the early Christian baptismal font and the apse from the
6th century, a unique complex of faith forms. The present cathedral is the result of various renovations and renovations. The interior is filled with numerous objects
of great value. Worth mentioning are the marble altar, the gothic statue of Our Lady with Child, the gilded silver Frankopan pala with the image of the Madonna from the 15th century, the stone chapter of the Corinthian type and the ornaments with the unique early Christian symbol of the Eucharist - a bird of the one Fish eat, then tombstones of the bishops of Krk, a wooden pulpit from the 17th century and pictures of Italian masters (16th - 18th century). Since 2002, the grave of Bishop Antun Mahnić, the creator of Croatian, has been buried here
Catholic movement and founder of the Old Slavic Academy. In the summer months, traditional concerts are held in the cathedral.

Krapinske Toplice-otkucavanje u 12:00
Sad iznosim i opis zvona:
5. zvono sv.
Rok), 480 kg(Sv. Josip i sv.
