Mallow Castle From The Air
Renovations are underway on the new castle building at present. The council now owns the landmark site, and it is becoming a hub for events like the upcoming Racing Home For Easter festival. On the banks of the blackwater, the older ruins are still a formidable sight. The castle is only a minute's walk from The Clock House in the center of town.
One of the best walks in North Cork follows the river bank for a couple of kilometers on either side of the castle. As well as the river, there's all sorts of interesting flora and fauna to watch for.

Mallow Floods 2009
Severe flooding from the Blackwater river that affected Mallow and the surrounding areas in November 2009. Filming was carried out in a 2003 Toyota Land Cruiser. The other vehicles featured are a Land Rover Defender, Toyota Hilux and another Land Cruiser. The song is 'say hello' by Deep Dish with vocals provided by Anousheh Khalili.

Mallow Fire 1959
This video was made in 1959 by a man called Dan Walsh.
Dan Walsh was an American from Colerado and his mother came from Glenville, Co-Cork. Dan was serving with the American Forces in Germany and he took a trip to Ireland to visit his relatives in Mayo and in Glenville.
When he was passing through Mallow he saw the fire and stopped an made this video.
The fire is in Thomas Davis Street.
