The Disneyland Railroad (DLRR), originally the Santa Fe & Disneyland Railroad (SF & DLRR), is a 3 ft (914 mm) narrow gauge railroad at Disneyland, Anaheim, California, United States, that was inaugurated on the park's live television preview on July 17, 1955. This live steam railway was constructed for $240,000; the two original locomotives cost $40,000 each. Riders use it as transportation to other areas of the park or simply for the experience of the Grand Circle Tour. The Main Street railroad station is situated at the entrance of Disneyland.

Entry Title: Disneyland Day 2 & California Adventure Park

Today we used the second day of our Disneyland Pass. As we are staying in a Disneyland Resort we were able to enter an hour before the general public. This was great as the busier rides that had long wait on day one we got on straight away. Our first ride was Finding Nemo, this ride took you under the water in a submarine at the Great Barrier Reef. It was excellent you felt like you were there, clown fishes, sharks and turtles swimming around and coral on the ocean floor. We were then off to the Buss Light Years astro blaster, this was fantastic brought back the child in us all and was in 3D. We went around the ride on the train and had to use our laser guns to shoot the targets and get point to help Buzz. Haydn won of course. Next stop Fantasy land. First stop here was the Matterhorn bobsleds,this is a roller coaster that goes around the mountain, through water and has lots of sharp turns and as you can not go to Disneyland without doing the Mad Tea Party ride and the Alice in Wonderland ride were next on our hit list. Haydn sat these ones out and play the paparazzi for the duration of the rides. Then we all relaxed on the Storybook Land C**** boats. We were then off to the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique to get Celise a Cinderella makeover. They did her hair, makeup, fingernails to look just like a fairy princess. Then when Celise's said the magic words the mirror lit up with all parkling lights and the transformation was complete. Then we were off to finish the rides at Tomorrowland. This land is all about the future. The Innoventions featured a dream home and electronics of the future. We watch a 3D experience called Honey I shrunk the audience, the inventor shrunk us all, this was Celise's first 3D experience and was a bit nervous to start with. The floor vibrated so we felt like there were mice calling through our feet. We then went on It's a small world ride, and believe us if we never heae the song it's a small world again it will be to soon, we did a quick walk through Mickey Toontown and met Pluto and Mickey. Julie and Celise had a couple of rides here, this part of Disneyland is all for the children. We all decided to leave the park to have lunch as the food is all ****. Went to Denny's for a late lunch as had a walk around the shops. Then Celise wanted to go to California disney. Being a hot day we decided that we would head to a water ride so off Grizzly River Run we went and believe me it looked like we had pulled our clothes out the washer and put them on before they had a chance to spin.basically it was like a wheely bin of water was thrown at us. Then we wanted to go on the big roller coaster but the line was about 1 hour long so opted for Toy Story Midway Mania 4D in this we were in cars and had guns in front of us and had to hit targets to gain point Nikki came out on top at this one. Celise also had a go on the swing chair. As the park closed at 6 pm we headed to Soarin' California which is a simulated ride which is like you are hang gliding over California. Pretty cool. We decided because of the poor food choices available that we would go to the 7 eleven to pick up some bread, ham and cheese to make simple sandwiches for dinner. When Walt Disney opened Disneyland, the original Disney theme park, on July 17, 1955, he said he hoped it would be “a source of joy and inspiration to all the world.” He famously observed: “Disneyland will never be completed…as long as there is imagination left in the world.”
Since 1955, the Disneyland Resort has welcomed more than 750 million guests. It has expanded to become an approximately 500-acre, world-class, multi-day, family vacation destination, complete with two renowned Disney theme parks, three hotels, and the exciting shopping, dining and entertainment district known as Downtown Disney.
Disneyland Park – Upon its opening on July 17, 1955, Disneyland introduced a new concept in family entertainment and launched the theme park industry. Disneyland presented 18 major attractions on its Opening Day including the Mad Tea Party, the Jungle Cruise, Autopia and the Mark Twain Riverboat, and it featured five themed lands: Fantasyland, Adventureland, Tomorrowland, Frontierland and Main Street, U.S.A.
Today, Disneyland is an evolving 85-acre American institution featuring more than 60 adventures and attractions in eight themed lands, having added New Orleans Square in 1966, Critter Country (originally Bear County) in 1972 and Mickey’s Toontown in 1993. Construction on a future Star Wars-themed land began in 2016. Favorite Disneyland attractions include Pirates of the Caribbean, Star Tours, “it’s a small world,” Indiana Jones Adventure and the mountain range of thrill rides: Matterhorn Bobsleds, Space Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad and Splash Mountain. Entertainment is presented throughout the park, with nighttime spectaculars, stage shows including “Mickey and the Magical Map,” “Remember… Dreams Come True” fireworks and the beloved Main Street Electrical Parade, returning for a limited time encore performance on Jan. 20, 2017.
Disney California Adventure Park – Since its opening in 2001 with such popular attractions as, California Screamin’ and Grizzly River Run, Disney California Adventure has been bringing adventure and fun to life with Disney storytelling magic... With the addition of Cars Land and Buena Vista Street in 2012, the park features more than 35 adventures and attractions plus distinctive entertainment and dining.
Disney California Adventure has grown from its original three themed lands – Golden State, Paradise Pier and Hollywood Pictures Backlot – to a total of eight lands including the 12-acre Cars Land and Buena Vista Street, “a bug’s land” (which opened in 2002), a renamed Hollywood Land, Grizzly Peak featuring the newly reimagined Grizzly Peak Airfield and the exciting new attraction Soarin’ Around the World, Pacific Wharf (all formerly parts of the Golden State area) and Paradise Pier.
Downtown Disney District –This lively, colorful, admission-free district of exciting restaurants, shops, and nightclubs is centrally located between the Disneyland Resort theme parks and hotels. The 20-acre, 300,000 square-foot avenue features approximately 50 distinct venues including AMC Theatres, Anna and Elsa’s Boutique, Catal Restaurant, Earl of Sandwich, Sprinkles, ESPN Zone, La Brea Bakery Café, Rainforest Café, Ralph Brennan’s Jazz Kitchen, Tortilla Jo’s, Chapel Hats, Naples Ristorante e Pizzeria, WonderGround Gallery and, of course, the World of Disney store.

In honor of Merida's coronation ceremony on May 11, 2013, the entire Disney Princess Royal court of now 11 princesses gathered in front of Cinderella Castle - Snow White, Cinderella, Aurora, Ariel, Jasmine, Belle, Mulan, Pocahontas, Tiana, and Rapunzel. Queen Elinor, Merida's mom, also made a first-ever appearance.

Help Rocket rescue the Guardians of the Galaxy on this all-new ride. Disney California Adventure Park's Tower of Terror was transformed into Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT! and is now officially open.

Disneyland
Disneyland Park, originally Disneyland, is the first of two theme parks built at the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California, opened on July 17, 1955. It is the only theme park designed and built under the direct supervision of Walt Disney. It was originally the only attraction on the property; its name was changed to Disneyland Park to distinguish it from the expanding complex in the 1990s.
Walt Disney came up with the concept of Disneyland after visiting various amusement parks with his daughters in the 1930s and 1940s. He initially envisioned building a tourist attraction adjacent to his studios in Burbank to entertain fans who wished to visit; however, he soon realized that the proposed site was too small. After hiring a consultant to help him determine an appropriate site for his project, Walt bought a 160-acre (65 ha) site near Anaheim in 1953. Construction began in 1954 and the park was unveiled during a special televised press event on the ABC Television Network on July 17, 1955.

The ride features over 300 audio-animatronic dolls in traditional costumes from cultures around the world, frolicking in a spirit of international unity and singing the attraction's title song, which has a theme of global peace.

This time, the allignment is a bit better, but there's still thin bars along the top and bottom where allignment does not happen. Color matching was better executed this time around.
On top of the elevator ride, we also get a look at the small Atrium in the center of the building, as well as a look down one of the MPE's (Stairwell, in Layman's Terms).

The idea for a park based on favorite movie themes originated with Walt Disney at a time when studio back lot tours were limited to a privileged few. He first considered a park on his own back lot. Land issues combined with potential traffic problems caused him to look elsewhere; namely, Anaheim. The result was Disneyland. In the mid-1980s, a greatly expanded production schedule for The Walt Disney Company demanded more facilities. Rather than buy expensive land in California, the company utilized its Florida property and combined production facilities with theme-park attractions to give Disney guests a behind-the-scenes Hollywood experience.
Disney’s Hollywood Studios debuted on May 1, 1989, at Walt Disney World Resort to immerse guests in the glamor of show business 365 days a year with thrilling attractions, Broadway-style shows, and world-class entertainment.
The 135-acre park is divided into seven themed lands of attractions:
Hollywood Boulevard – The Great Movie Ride: guests travel through classic film scenes and Hollywood moments.
Echo Lake – Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular! A 30-minute live show featuring daring stunt artists and thrilling motion picture special effects. Star Tours—The Adventures Continue: new 3-D adventures into space with more than 50 ride scenarios.
Pixar Place – Toy Story Midway Mania! celebrates Disney•Pixar classics “Toy Story” and “Toy Story 2,” with a 3-D ride-game experience in which guests aim for animated targets using their own special onboard spring-action shooter.
Mickey Avenue – Walt Disney: One Man’s Dream features an interactive gallery showcasing each era of Walt Disney’s life; rare and historic Disney artifacts are on display.
Animation Courtyard – Star Wars Launch Bay is a primary location within the park for fans to celebrate all things Star Wars. In this multi-sensory space with an outdoor queue area lined with special concept artwork, guests can interact with beloved Star Wars characters, tour galleries featuring treasured memorabilia and replicas of large-scale Star Wars artifacts, including ones from Star Wars: The Force Awakens, plus have access to special Star Wars merchandise. Voyage of The Little Mermaid theater attraction features special effects, puppets, Audio-Animatronics figures, live performers and favorite animated clips. Disney Junior—Live on Stage! presents stars from Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, including Doc McStuffins, Captain Jake and the Never Land Pirates, and more.
Sunset Boulevard – Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith catapults guests through a series of unexpected Tinseltown twists and turns to the tunes of Aerosmith on this indoor roller coaster. Sunset Showcase is an entertainment showplace custom designed to host a variety of different experiences over time, which currently hosts Club Disney, a dance party with Disney Characters during the day, and Club Villain, a special ticket dance-and-dine event at night. The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror begins a thrilling journey through eerie corridors of the Hollywood Tower Hotel and culminates as guests plummet 13 stories again and again — faster than free-fall — in a breathtaking finale. Beauty and the Beast—Live on Stage musical stage show runs multiple times daily in the Theater of the Stars. Fantasmic! Mickey Mouse’s dream comes to life in a brilliant display of lights, lasers, fireworks and water animation.
Throughout the Park – Meet Disney characters including Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, Olaf, Phineas and Ferb, Mike and Sully, Woody and Buzz Lightyear, and more. As guests enjoy the sights and attractions of Disney’s Hollywood Studios, they may come face to face with First Order Stormtroopers who will patrol various areas of the park, interacting with guests during their mission to find members of the Resistance.

Pirates of the Caribbean the ride at disneyland part 1
Pirates of the Caribbean is a dark ride at the Disneyland, Magic Kingdom, Tokyo Disneyland, and Disneyland Park (Paris) theme parks.
This was the last attraction which Walt Disney himself participated in designing; it opened three months after his death. It is located within the New Orleans Square portion of Disneyland, its facade evoking antebellum New Orleans, topped by a 31-star United States flag (which would indicate the 1850s). An overhead sign at the boat dock names it for the famous pirate Jean Lafitte (although his name is misspelled Laffite), who fought alongside the U.S. Army at the Battle of New Orleans in the War of 1812. The second floor of the facade was originally designed to be a private Disney family apartment. Instead it later opened as an art-related retail/museum space called the Disney Gallery until late 2007 when it was replaced by the Disneyland Dream Suite.
