11 Cheapest Places in Florida to Buy a Home.
The Sunshine State is one of the most desirable places in the nation to live. What’s not love? Warm sun, miles of sandy coastline, palm trees, historic sites, and top-notch culinary options. With all these benefits, it’s no wonder many people believe that owning property here will set them back a pretty penny. This is one of the biggest misconceptions about Florida. While places like Naples and Miami Beach are known for their expensive real estate, there are plenty of places in this state that are more than affordable. Here’s what we found to be the eleven cheapest places in Florida to buy a home.
1. Deerfield Beach
2. Titusville
3. Cape Coral
4. Palm Coast
5. Dunedin
6. Palm Bay

Painting Castillo de San Marcos with the Umbarger family. This is a StAugustinevideo .com presentation on painting at the old fort in St. Augustine, Florida. Painters will enjoy painting at Castillo de San Marcos, filmed and edited by Bruce Merwin.
About the Fort
(From www .nps. gov /casa)
How old is the fort? Construction began on October 2, 1672 so the fort is over 333 years old.
Who built the fort? Why did they build it here? The Castillo was built by the Spanish to protect their interests in La Florida. With the discovery and use of the Gulf Stream by the Spanish Treasure fleets it became important to establish a military outpost to keep rival powers and pirates from threatening Spanish commerce.
How long did it take to build the fort? The Castillo has has two major construction periods, from 1672 to its initial completion in 1695, and again from 1738 to 1756. This final renovation is commemorated by the dedicatory plaque above the sally port entrance to the fort.
What is Coquina? Where does it come from? Coquina (Spanish for tiny shell), is a soft limestone made up of broken shells and sand cemented together by calcium carbonate, essentially creating a natural form of concrete. The stone for the Castillo was quarried on nearby Anastasia island.
What does Castillo mean? Castillo is the Spanish word for castle. Although no king or queen lived here, the Castillo de San Marcos was like a castle in one way-- it was used to defend a town.
St Pete Beach - NextHome Beach Time Realty
Where else can you be that the local newspaper gives away a free paper on any day the sun fails to shine? The sugary, white sand beaches of St. Pete Beach and Pass A Grille are literally ranked among the best in the world. Accustomed to being in the top 5 beaches in the US, in 2012 Trip Advisor voted St. Pete Beach the #1 Beach in the US and the #5 in the world! And as if those accolades were not spectacular enough, St. Pete Beach is known for being a premier destination for families. Indeed, Parents Magazine voted St. Pete Beach the #3 Family Beach in the US for 2013! The Tampa Bay area has so much to offer, it’s no wonder so many people long to be here!
Approaching the islands of St. Pete Beach, when you hit the apex of the Pinellas Bayway Bridge, sweeping vistas of the Gulf of Mexico and the Intracoastal Waterway will appear. Take a deep breath! You have arrived. As you hit land, you are welcomed by the sight of the grand dame of St. Pete Beach, the regal Don CeSar Beach Resort. The “Pink Palace,” (as it is affectionately called by locals), delineates Pass A Grille from the rest of St. Pete Beach, though in reality it is all one very special island.
With a booming hotel district spanning 9/10th of a mile of Gulf front splendor, St. Pete Beach is a treasure trove of things to do and enjoy, from water sports to fine dining; beach bars and live music; paddle boarding or dolphin sighting – It is all here! NextHome Beach Time Realty has many different vacation home options for Guests to enjoy, including private homes and condominiums, as well as condo-hotels. Most have water views. Many are waterfront. All are either on the beach or a short walk to the beach.
There is no need to leave the island; but if you choose to do so, there are many fabulous options open to you. Downtown St. Petersburg is 15 minutes away. There you can enjoy the “Riveria-esque” waterfront cafes and visit world-class museums, like the Dali or the Chilhuly Exhibit! If Major League Baseball is your passion, catch a Tampa Bay Rays’ game at Tropicana Field! Shopping is also a great pleasure in the city center. Our personal favorite is Sundial, where you can shop until you drop – into a chair at one of the many fabulous restaurants also there. Make sure you check out Locale Market while at Sundial. It is a grocery store that is a surprising and delightful experience with exotic selections that pander to the pallet!

Places o see in ( Panama City Beach - USA )
Panama City Beach is a waterfront town and vacation destination in northwest Florida. It's known for miles of white-sand beaches fronting the calm, clear waters of the Gulf of Mexico. St. Andrews State Park, one of 2 protected nature preserves nearby, is bordered by the Gulf and has hiking trails and fishing piers. Pier Park is the main shopping hub and a venue for major events.
The area including Panama City Beach is known as the Emerald Coast, as well as the Redneck Riviera, due to a large number of regional tourists. While many people call Panama City Beach, Panama City, it should be noted that they are separate cities, separated by a St. Andrew Bay, with the beaches and a large proportion of tourist activities being in Panama City Beach, and more business-oriented activities being in Panama City.
The St. Andrew Bay area was home to Native Americans before it was settled as a community in the 1800s. Pirates found the deep pockets of the Bay ideal to lie in wait for merchant ships in route to Mexico or Spain. Legend has it that many a pirate buried his share of treasure at Spanish Shanty Point on Shell Island.
Another area teeming with history in Panama City Beach is St Andrews State Recreation Area. During World War II, it was part of the St. Andrews Sound Military Reservation. Circular cannon platforms are still in place near the jetties. Opened in 1951, the park now covers more than 1,200 acres.
For quite some time Panama City Beach has been a popular vacation destination, especially among people in the Southern United States. The city is also a very popular spring break destination, sometimes being referred to as The Spring Break Capital of the World, with over 500,000 college and high school students who arrive during the months of March and April.
