French Wine: France The French Way
France is of course well known for its fine wine... The country began producing wine in the 6th century BC and many of France's regions have a wine-making history dating back as far as Roman times. This audio slideshow talks to various wine experts in the South of France about what makes the wine of Provence so special.

We Went to the French Riviera (24 Hours in Nice, France)
After visiting Paris so many years ago we just knew that we wanted to return to France, and what better than heading to the French Riviera by spending a couple of days in Nice.
After finding one of the only cafe's open before 10am (which was perfectly placed right on the beach) we decided to head out and explore more the beautiful town.
Spots we saw
- Vieille Ville (Old Town)
- Promenade des Anglais
- Parc de la Colline du Château (Castle Hill Park)
- Jardin Albert I Statue
but after doing waay to much walking we decided to upgrade our transportation by hiring a top back blue convertible. We drove up to Le Fort du Mont Alban to get amazing views of the city.
After all this driving and walking we had worked up an appetite, so we tried some Nice street food in the form of Socca before grabbing an ice cream and catching the train over to Cannes for the Cannes film festival.

10 Things We LOVE About France: The French do it Better than the US/NZ!
Kate and I are back to share the 10 things we love about life in France! Life in Paris as an expat has its ups and downs, but there are and always will be things that France does better than the US or NZ!
For example, Rosie, who has been living in France as a foreigner for more than 4 years now, adores the TGV and the paid leave. And when it comes to living in France vs USA, there are some things that France does best in the world, like the French social security system which changed Kate's life whilst living in France as an American.
If you're considering moving to Paris or France or want to understand more about the pros and cons of life in France, don't hesitate to check out my French culture shocks playlist here:

France: Provence & the French Riviera

Nice, France: A Lovely City of the French Riviera
Nice was great! It was yet another in a long list of places where we wished we had more time. The flower market lived up to its reputation, the city had that charming, quintessentially French atmosphere, and right next to it all is beach with beautiful blue water (the water is much bluer than the video shows, due to the way the camera compensated for bright light).
