Is a great course to play, only one hours drive from Bourne Golf Centre, and even better playing it indoors on a cold winters day!!

A gentle opening hole measuring 361 yards from the championship tee. This short par 4 requires a positional tee shot and a short iron to the green. The green is relatively level and two shallow bunkers are placed on either side.

The National Golf Centre, Woodhall Spa
Over 100 years of History at Woodhall Spa -
Golf was first introduced to Woodhall Spa in 1890 when a nine hole course opened for play. The Golf Club was instituted in 1891 and flourished until 1895 when the land that the course was built on was required for building. A new site was hurriedly found and another nine hole course was laid out. The village was extremely popular for its spa waters and golf proved to be another attraction.

Woodhall Spa is a civil parish and village in the East Lindsey district of Lincolnshire, England within a wooded area on the Southern edge of the Lincolnshire Wolds, about 6 miles (10 km) south-west of Horncastle and about 15 miles (24 km) east-south-east of Lincoln. It is noted for its mineral springs, cinema, and its Second World War association with the RAF 617 Squadron. The cinema has the last remaining rear screen projector in the country.

Paul R Ashton - long bunker shot to 4ft Woodhall Spa Hotchkin 8th hole
Having come to grief in the right hand trap on the 8th hole on Woodhall Spa's Hotckin Course on many a previous occasion, I finally got the better of it with this first time effort that went to 4 foot. Playing off approx 8hcap at the time this is probably the highest I've ever hit a ball with a 60deg Lobwedge splash shot from sand. However, let's not discuss the putt...
