NATIONAL YOUTH ORCHESTRA OF KENYA - FLASH MOB (VILLAGE MARKET, NAIROBI))
For the first time in Kenya an Orchestra performed a flash mob in one of Nairobi's busiest malls, the Village Market. To celebrate Kenya at 50 and join the Christmas Seasons Festivities, the National Youth Orchestra of Kenya, conducted by Levi Wataka put together the music. The repertoire included the Kenyan Classic 'Stella' by Freshly Mwamburi, arranged for orchestra by David Ralak. Safari ya Bamba by Dr Arthur Kemoli arranged for orchestra by Jim Pywell and Levi Wataka, Handel's 'La Rejouissance' from Music for The Royal Fireworks and to add to the Christmas cheer, Hark the Herald angels sing.
