Delhi zoo Tiger attack : Indian man gets killed
How do you blame a zoo when a man decides to jump into a White Tiger's enclosure? That is what this man did at Delhi Zoo. Once inside, the seriousness (and no doubt, idiocy) of what he did hit home. But it was too late. The tiger sizes up the man and irritated by the screaming and stoning from zoo visitors around him proceeds to 'check him out'. That checking out, unfortunately, included seizing hold of him and dragging him up his enclosure. That was the end of the poor man...

Corbett National Park
Jim Corbett National Park, which is a part of the larger Corbett Tiger Reserve, a Project Tiger Reserve lies in the Nainital district of Uttarakhand. The magical landscape of Corbett is well known and fabled for its tiger richness. Established in the year 1936 as Hailey National Park, Corbett has the glory of being India's oldest and most prestigious National Park. It is also being honored as the place where Project Tiger was first launched in 1973. This unique tiger territory is best known as the father who gave birth of the Project Tiger in India to protect the most endangered species and the Royal of India called Tigers.
Spans over an extent of 520 square kilometers, its whole area comprises of hills, marshy depressions, riverine belts, grasslands and large lake. It is among the few tiger reserves in India that allows overnight stays in the lap of the National Park. Nature watch and wildlife viewing in the park is done in an open four wheeler Jeep and on elephant back. Sheltering a healthy population of tigers and rare species like Otters and the endemic fish eating crocodile, the national park is one of the most sought after destinations for the wildlife buffs. Dhikala, situated at the border of the extensive Patil Dun valley, is the most popular destination in Corbett because of its superb location and sheer abundance of wildlife present.
If you love bird watching then Corbett is virtual haven for such tourists. Corbett and its adjoining area is a home to more than 650 species of residents and migratory birds. Particularly Dhikala is fine place to look for birds of prey, more than over 50 species of raptors alone shows the healthy biodiversity of the area. Their multiplex behavior is intriguing and their varied songs are very much pleasing to the ear. In a nutshell, this finest national park of India is well known for rich and varied wildlife including royal Bengal tiger, elephant, four to five species of deer and rich birdlife.
The Tourist Zones: In order to promote tourism in the region Corbett National Park has been divided into five different zones. These are the marked buffer or core area of the park where visitors can be part of wildlife safari and can enjoy the intriguing behavior of the animals with bare eyes at proximity.
Bijrani Safari Zone : Bijrani Zone is very popular tourist's hub because of its abundant natural beauty and open grasslands. The entry gate of the zone is located at only 01 Km from Ramnagar city.
Jhirna Safari Zone : Jhirna is another important tourist zone in the Jim Corbett National park that is open for tourist round the year. Jhirna Gate is located at 16 km from Ramnagar city.
Dhela Safari Zone : Dhela is a new eco tourism zone in Corbett National Park included in tiger reserve zone in November 2014. This is the only area in the reserve's buffer zone open to tourists in CTR. The zone is retaining the attention of large number of tourist because of its wealthy flora and fauna, open throughout the year, located at an approximate distance of 13 Km from Ramnagar City.
Dhikala Zone : Being the largest and most varied zone in Corbett, Dhikala is famous for its abundant natural beauty as well as offering the best sight for exotic fauna. The entry gate is 18 km away from Ramnagar city. Night stay inside the Dhikala Tourism Zone is highly recommended for the hard core wildlife enthusiasts.
Durga Devi Zone : Located on the north-eastern boundary of the Jim Corbett National Park, Durga Devi zone is the heaven on planet earth for those who are fond of bird watching. Entry gate is located at an approximate distance of 36 km from Ramnagar city.
Sitabani Buffer Zone : Sitabani Zone doesn't fall under the Corbett Tiger Reserve area. If you are fond of serene ambiance of the natural beauty, must visit Sitabani area.
How to Reach Corbett
Ramnagar is perhaps the best approach to the Corbett National Park which forms the headquarters of CTR. This small city is well connected by road and rail network with major cities of India like Delhi, Moradabad, Nainital and Bareilly. Once you reach Ramnagar, then it takes only half an hour to reach Corbett National Park. The park is around 15 Kms from Ramnagar railway station.

Jungle Safari At Kabini National Park | Karnataka Tourism | Tigers In South India | Travel Vlog
I went to Kabini in the month of December 2019 and here is my vlog featuring the experience I had while taking 3 Safaris during which I also got to see tigers. Spread over 55 acres, Kabini Forest is an essential part of the Nagarhole National Park also known as Rajiv Gandhi Tiger Reserve. Kabini Wildlife Sanctuary used to be the exclusive hunting grounds for the kings of Mysore. Today, it includes beautiful lakes, dense forests, steep valleys and streams. If you were lucky then you would also get to spot Asian elephants living in their natural habitat at Kabini Forest Reserve. Although, people come to kabini for boat safari, bird watching etc, the best way to explore the forest is via Jungle Safari.
This tiger reserve remains opened throughout the year and hence, you can visit anytime of the year. However, the best time to visit this wildlife sanctuary is between October to May. It is just 5 hours drive from Bangalore and well connected by every means of transportation.

ULTIMATE Indian Wildlife SAFARI in Amazing TIGER RESERVE | Manas National Park, Assam, India
Over the last year or so, I’ve gotten tons of messages from locals and fellow travelers telling me that I needed to visit northeast India and experience first-hand how different and unique it is. I finally made it a reality and spent just over two weeks in the northeastern states of Assam and Meghalaya in March of 2019. What I found there blew my mind and right now, I’m going to share my experiences there with you!
After spending a couple of days exploring the Assamese city of Guwahati, I headed off to Manas National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and tiger and elephant reserve along the Indian border with Bhutan. We started our day at 5 a.m. and drove three hours straight north to get there. The roads were bumpy, but it was totally worth it to get to see this magnificent place in-person.
I wasn’t planning on wasting any time. My plan was to get there around 8 a.m. and immediately go on safari so I could see as many animals as possible. We arrived at Florican Cottage, which is a guest house. I was ready to head out, but we decided to get breakfast first at an open-air restaurant.
Our meal was a British-style Indian breakfast with toast, an omelet, orange marmalade, bananas, butter, and mango juice. The orange marmalade was tangy and had a little lime zest in it! I decided not to use any butter, but it was better like that! The eggs were really nice and full of herbs and onions. I loved the omelet. It was cooked in oil and was light and delicious.
Then we headed out on a Jeep to begin our safari! I really wanted to see a tiger, because tiger sightings are very rare in Manas National Park, even though it is a tiger reserve. There are also elephants, deer, and rhinos there. There aren’t many rhinos, but some of them are transported here from Kaziranga.
Manas became a reserve in 1928 and then became a national park in 1990. You can go on safari twice per day here. It costs 2,000 rupees/roughly $28.57 U.S. for a vehicle, 300 rupees/$4.29 for a driver, another 300 rupees for the gate entry, and 100 rupees/$1.43 per person. For us, each safari came to 2,900 rupees, or about $41.43 U.S. Since we did two safaris, our total for the day was 5,800 rupees/$82.87 U.S. Not bad for a day of adventure!
If you have the time, I recommend staying in the park overnight for multiple days so you can have a proper experience. I didn’t do that because I had limited days in Guwahati but coming out to Manas National Park is a must when you visit Assam.
After a 30-minute drive, we arrived at a two-story lookout tower where we could view the surrounding area. We saw a few peacocks who were making mating calls, so maybe it was their mating season!
There are lots of other animals in the park, including endangered animals. The trick to enjoying a safari is being patient. There’s no guarantee that you’re going to see any animals. It’s luck of the draw. But if you’re patient and spend enough time there, chances are you’ll see something.
We spotted some water buffalo and a gorgeous blue peacock. This water buffalo had huge horns and was pretty far away from us. We also saw a deer through the haze. Then we saw our first elephant, possibly a mother with its calf.
I climbed another nearby tower to see if I could get a better view of the animals. I could see the water buffalo and the elephants from up there, but the deer were camouflaged in the grass.
It was nice to see the animals from far away, but I really wanted to get some up-close video for you guys, so I hopped back in the Jeep and continued on with our game drive.
When you go on safari, you should use a zoom lens. I rented one from Lensrentals.com. They make renting lenses super easy and affordable!
Then we got a nice look at a deer. I learned that they’re trying to create more grasslands at Manas, so they’re cutting some of the trees down to do it. We spotted another buffalo. We then reached the river, which comes from Bhutan and connects to the Brahmaputra.
We finished off our first game drive there, because most of the animals are asleep during the hottest part of the day. But we’ll be back for more in a few hours!
I hope you enjoyed this video of our first game drive at Manas National Park! If you did, please give it a thumbs up and leave me a comment. Also, please subscribe to my channel!

Jungle Safari In Jim Corbett National Park | Travel Vlog | Where To Stay in Jim Corbett
I recently went to Jim Corbett in Uttrakhand state , a place which is famous for its National Park. The idea was to take a break from Delhi's heat and spend a few days in Jim Corbett to enjoy the Jungle Safari and hospitality of Aahana Resort - A luxury hotel in Jim Corbett.
Jim Corbett National Park lies in the Nainital district of Uttrakhand state and it is a part of the largest Corbett Tiger Reserve
The mystic landscape of Corbett is famous for its tiger richness. Founded in the year 1936 as Hailey National Park, this park has the glory of being the oldest and most prestigious national park of India.
I stayed at a wonderful resort called ‘Aahana Resort’, located very close to the national park. I loved the property so much especially their extra activities to keep the visitors engaged and enjoy the weather. The rooms, staffs, food, service, cleanliness and everything were nice about Aahana Resort.
Overall, I had an amazing time at Jim Corbett and I have tried to document all my experiences in this vlog. I hope you guys like it. Remember to Like, Comment, Share and Subscribe to my channel ☺

We (Raj & Holley plus our friend Pam) traveled to India for a month!
Let's be clear: India is huge and each area is quite unique, so a month in India can only cover so many places. It was an action-packed tour of North India, and we'd love to spend another few months there to see the south at a calmer pace.
We were extremely lucky to have the experiences that we did. Our experiences, or at least our India travel impressions, were unique to us and we thought an India travel vlog would be a great way to share them.
A lot of work has gone into putting these videos together and we hope that you enjoy them. Travel stories are always fun to share, and we'd love to hear some of your experiences as well. Please share in the comments below.
