Driving around Dearborn, Michigan
Dearborn is a city in the State of Michigan. It is located in Wayne County and is part of the Detroit metropolitan area. Dearborn is the eighth largest city in the State of Michigan. As of the 2010 census, it had a population of 98,153 and is home to the largest Muslim population in the United States. First settled in the late 18th century by ethnic French farmers in a series of ribbon farms along the Rouge River and the Sauk Trail, the community grew in the 19th century with the establishment of the Detroit Arsenal on the Chicago Road linking Detroit and Chicago. In the 20th century, it developed as a major manufacturing hub for the automotive industry.
Henry Ford was born on a farm here and later established an estate in Dearborn, as well as his River Rouge Complex, the largest factory of his Ford empire. He developed mass production of automobiles, and based the world headquarters of the Ford Motor Company here. The city has a campus of the University of Michigan as well as Henry Ford College. The Henry Ford, the United States' largest indoor-outdoor historic museum complex and Metro Detroit's leading tourist attraction, is located here.

Many trains depart from Chicago, like his: the 370 Pere Marquette to Grand Rapids. Never been on an Amtrak? Don't worry, in this video Thom will show you how to board, what to expect, and why it is such an amazing experience.
Trains are Awesome!
Long GLC train Traverse City michigan
This is with out a doubt a long train for me. This it at the other railroad crossing about half a mile west of the other crossing on south airport road. Counted 12 cars. Again this was from my phone. I was saying i haven't seen this crossing go off in years mostly from the early 1990's
New York Central Railroad Museum
The National New York Central Railroad Museum is located at Elkhart, Indiana. Here is some information from their website:
At the center of it all was the New York Central Railroad. Elkhart's National New York Central RR Museum recaptures the days when locomotives were symbols of progress, and ambassadors of goodwill across the country. The Museum was founded in 1987 and is an ever growing preserver of both local and national railroad heritage. Elkhart is a natural home for the museum; its railyard is among America's largest. Then, just as it is today, Elkhart was and is a vital link between East and West during our country's growth. Visitors enter the Museum through a 1915-built passenger coach. This area introduces a timeline to the local railroad history beginning in 1833 with the Lake Shore and Michigan Southern RR, and tracing it through 1914, when the New York Central gained control of the LSMS. At the end of the coach, the path leads through the Central System Gift Shop and into the Museum's main gallery located in a 100 year old freight house complex. This area, (the old freight house), features the history of the New York Central on the local and national level. There are numerous hands-on exhibits to help visitors live railroad history.
A Gandydancer display lets the visitor construct railroad track.
The Interactive Mohawk, 3001, Steam Engine display, with bell, whistle, and throttle sounds, letting every visitor live their dream of becoming a locomotive engineer.
A video room permits one to sit and enjoy many railroad related videos.
Exhibits will also take visitors through the creation of Penn Central, Amtrak, Conrail (and in the future, Conrail's division by CSX and Norfolk Southern), to complete their railroad journey.
The new O'gauge train layout is housed in an adjacent room and is open to the public year round. A second passenger coach along the freight house serves as the Museum's archives, library and offices. Upon leaving the freight house complex, visitors exit through the Central System Gift Shop and can follow the dock down past our E8 and on out to the rolling stock collection.
Once outside, visitors will view rolling stock which include an L3a Mohawk, 4-8-2, steam locomotive, #3001 built in 1940, it is the largest piece of NYC steam equipment left in existence. The Museum also has an E-8 diesel-electric built in 1953, that will be painted in the lightning stripe motif. This locomotive, NYC #4085,was the lead locomotive of East bound 20th Century Limited when it left Chicago bound for New York City for the last time on December 3, 1967. The 4085 as she was during Penn Central. The Museum also has a PRR, GG-1 electric locomotive built in 1939 that has been painted in Penn Central livery, the only known locomotive to have been done so. In the future #4882 will be returned to its original Pennsylvania RR livery. Among the other pieces is a 150 ton crane, from Harmon,NY, built in the 1920's for the New York Central Railroad. A 1920's wooden PRR boxcar. Two B&0 steel boxcars. A 250T Self-propelled crane, ex-NYC from Selkirk, NY. A New York Central Lines, Railroad Post Office, as well as a PRR Diner.

Pere Marquette Railroad, Detroit MI.
The opening scene shows the Detroit skyline through the haze. Early on there is a glimpse of a Wabash locomotive, and we see the McLaren Screw Product building, which would confirm the Detroit location, also the viaduct is similar to the one departing Fort Street Union Depot. The passengers seem to indicate some type of excursion, possibly for employees and their families or for customers. The bridge could well be over the Rouge River. 1206 and 1211 were part of the first order of 15 Berkshire locomotives in 1937. I'm not sure of the yard location. The only place that I know of with a large sign like that is Wyoming Yard, outside of Grand Rapids; quite a distance from Detroit -especially for a day trip.
About the ongoing search
Steam train with party nears Detroit and enters a yard on W. Jefferson Ave. near the Ambassador Bridge. A Pere Marquette steam locomotive switches near the building of the McLaren Screw Product Co. It is the skyline and this name and building combination which led me to Detroit -in fact it was pretty straight forward :)
Same steam train leaves Detroit, our trip begins.
We're crossing a bridge in the Detroit region, would that be Rouge River? At the 2.02 mark, there's an interesting bridge. The structure has been used elsewhere, I've seen it being used on other PM bridges, but not all -which narrows the search somewhat. Where is this located? What is the name and location of this bridge / river? The 2.36 mark shows fairly new trackage.
At the 3.10 mark, the train is parked at an unknown yard, where is it? The building says ''Pere Marquette''.
Last but not least, we're looking to time-stamp this footage. Your help is appreciated! Would this footage be featuring a ''fan day'', a special tour for staff members or the opening of some trackage?
The steam engine appears to be in some sort of mint condition as well. Again, please chime in and share your thoughts.

About the Pere Marquette
The Pere Marquette Railway (reporting mark PM) operated in the Great Lakes region of the United States and Canada. It had trackage in the states of Michigan, Ohio, Indiana and the Canadian province of Ontario. Its primary connections included Buffalo; Toledo; and Chicago. The Pere Marquette Railroad was incorporated on November 1, 1899 in anticipation of a merger of three Michigan-based railroad companies that had been agreed upon by all parties. It began operations on January 1, 1900, absorbing the following companies:
-Flint & Pere Marquette Railroad (F&PM)
-Detroit, Grand Rapids & Western Railroad (DGR&W)
-Chicago & West Michigan Railway (C&WM)
The company was reincorporated on March 12, 1917 as the Pere Marquette Railway. In the 1920s the Pere Marquette came under the control of Cleveland financiers Oris and Mantis Van Sweringen. These brothers also controlled the New York, Chicago & St. Louis Railroad (Nickel Plate), the Erie Railroad and the Chesapeake & Ohio Railway, and planned to merge the four companies. However, the ICC did not approve the merger and the Van Sweringens eventually sold their interest in the Pere Marquette to the C&O, with which it formally merged on June 6, 1947. The C&O has since become part of CSX Transportation.
In 1984, Amtrak named its passenger train between Grand Rapids, Michigan and Chicago the Pere Marquette.
The 2004 film The Polar Express featured steam locomotive Pere Marquette 1225. The train in the movie (not the same train in the popular children's book) was a model of #1225 based on measurements and recordings of the 1225. It is the locomotive that Chris Van Allsberg said was the inspiration for the book, having seen it as a child when it was on the Michigan State University campus. The locomotive was scheduled to be at the premiere in Grand Rapids, where the writer was born, but was canceled because of interferences with the schedule of CSX. It is now housed and maintained at the Steam Railroading Institute in Owosso, Michigan.
The Pere Marquette operated a number of rail car ferries on the Detroit and St. Clair Rivers and on Lake Erie and Lake Michigan. The PM's fleet of car ferries, which operated on Lake Michigan from Ludington, Michigan to Milwaukee, Kewaunee, and Manitowoc, Wisconsin, were an important transportation link avoiding the terminal and interchange delays around the southern tip of Lake Michigan and through Chicago.
I'd like to thank mr. Robert vandeVusse for his help.

Michigan Central Railroad Locomotive Shops - Jackson, Michigan
See the full video here:
Miller Trucking & Storage Co. is the proud owner of the former Michigan Central Railroad shop facilities at Jackson Yard, which permanently closed as a repair facility in the mid-1970s. After a series of fires, Miller Trucking rebuilt most of the interior of the historic shop buildings that are now utilized as warehouse and storage space for large equipment and machinery for customers.
Also on site at Miller Trucking is a former Penn Central boxcar, which was moved to Miller in 2017 from another business in Jackson. The boxcar was left in place with the rails removed in the 1970s. The business it was left next to used it as a storage shed for many years until it was decided the boxcar needed to be removed from the property. It is uncertain what will become of this boxcar, but for now, it’s safe at Miller Trucking.
Warehouse no. 5 is the former Michigan Central Railroad locomotive shop. It’s also the same building where the unloaded steel coils are stored. Miller uses a track mobile to shove the cars into the facility and utilizes overhead cranes to place the coils on the shop floor. This building was where the Michigan Central and later New York Central built and repaired steam locomotives for nearly eighty years. The other major locomotive and car shop facility on the Michigan Central was at St. Thomas, Ontario.
In spring of 1949, the shops closed temporarily because of a Toledo coal strike and were supposed to re-open in July of that year. However, because of changes in the railroad industry and the gradual transition from steam to diesel, it was decided that the shops would no longer be utilized as a steam locomotive maintenance facility. The remainder of the buildings in the yard were utilized for generalized repair and storage until Conrail leased and later sold the property to Miller in the late-1970s.

New York Central Beeliner, Grand Rapids - Jackson, MI, 1956.
In 1955, a diesel powered, self propelled passenger car known as an RDC or more affectionately, a Beeliner, replaced a steam drawn passenger train that included a Pullman sleeper for New York City from Grand Rapids, Michigan. The train traveled from Grand Rapids about 90 miles southeast to Jackson, Michigan where passengers could board a New York bound Pullman that was part of #44, The Detroiter, eastbound from Chicago. The Beeliner service lasted until Dec. 1959. The Grand Rapids - Jackson line was abandoned in 1983.

ABOUT THIS FEED:
Elkhart is on Norfolk Southern Railway’s (NS's) Chicago Line, the former New York Central Railroad (NYC) main line between Chicago and New York, originally the Lake Shore & Michigan Southern Railway (LS&MS). At the Conrail split, NS acquired the western half between Chicago and Cleveland, CSX the eastern half between Cleveland and New York. This line sees as many as 100 trains in a 24-hour period! The Canadian Pacific Railway (CP) also has track rights. Amtrak’s Capitol Limited (Chicago-D.C.) and Lake Shore Limited (Chicago-New York) also stop here twice a day per route (at the station building seen on the west camera). NS also has their largest classification yard east of the Mississippi down the road, the Robert Young Yard. Elkhart is also the location of the junction with the Elkhart & Western RR shortline, and with the Kalamazoo Branch to Grand Rapids, MI, which is leased to the Grand Elk RR.
