Delhi, India is a true CURRY HEAVEN, and we traveled here to go for this DEEP Street Food tour of Old Delhi! The Food Ranger (Trevor James) is in India eating Street Food! This walk through Old delhi truly was an AMAZING STREET FOOD ADVENTURE with delicious curry, amazing restaurants, and with so much tasty and UNIQUE Indian food recipes for our huge Indian dinner.
If you love eating street food around the world and street food in India, or even all over Asia, you will love the street food in Old Delhi. You can find street food everywhere, where everyone seems to cook delicious Indian recipes for curry and SPICY dishes all over the street.
In one day in old Delhi, India, we had 7 delicious street foods all made in the halal style.
We started out the day with an AMAZING ramadan experience at the largest Mosque in Delhi, Jama Masjid. We picked up a ton of different Indian street foods to bring to the mosque and break the fast with all the locals. We shared the delicious food, and then went back to the streets of Old Delhi to try more food.
The first food we had on our street food tour was the Delhi Fried Chicken, DFC, covered in Indian spices like masala and mustard. It was extremely JUICY and PLUMP!!!
Afterwards, we tried more BBQ chicken and then went for a nice Indian dinner cooked by one of the locals in Old Delhi. His family recipes were passed down to him and his food was legendary! We ate Indian Chicken Biryani and chicken korma curry along with Buffalo Korma along with Kameeri Roti! It was absolutely delicious!
After this, we went to the LEGENDARY Changezi chicken joint that invented the recipe for this juicy and flavour packed chicken curry dish!
To finish of the day, we went for some delicious BBQ Seekh Kebabs, extremely flavourful!!
The addresses for these street food restaurants in Old Delhi, India, are found on the main street below Jama Masjid, Old Delhi, India.

48 Hours in India: Delhi, Agra & Jaipur
48 Hours in India: Delhi, Agra & Jaipur
India is a country that would take an entire lifetime to fully explore, so when we set our sights on just 48 hours in India, we knew it would be a challenge. However, knocking out the Golden Triangle (Delhi, Jaipur, Agra) in a weekend might just be possible.
TripVerse dared us to try and accomplish the feat and we took on the challenge, always up for proving adventure travel in exotic destinations is possible, even during a weekend trip.
If you know us, you know we take any chance we can to travel, but spending 48 hours in India has been on our list for a long time, and with so many short, cheap flights to India from Dubai, it was only a matter of time before we took on the challenge. Using a three day weekend, we flew direct to Delhi and had a car and driver waiting for us.
The Golden Triangle is one of the most popular tourist routes in India, allowing travelers to visit New Delhi, Agra, and Jaipur in just a few days time as all three cities are not only very close together, but vastly different.
We knew we wanted to end the trip with Delhi, so we immediately landed and headed straight to Agra to visit the Taj Mahal, and tried to get there before sunrise to avoid the crowds.
The Taj Mahal is just one of those sights that you can't really believe you are looking at, something you see 1,000 times in pictures and movies your entire life. As we arrived early enough, the entire site was void of crowds and covered in a layer of mist and fog. It was incredible to watch this amazing building emerge from the fog into all its glory as the sun broke. Take your time, explore the area from all angles and take the time to just sit down and stare at one of the most amazing buildings ever built.
Remember: No camera tripods are allowed in, so make sure to check them at the entrance building before going in. You'll have to check your backpacks as well.
One your way out of the Taj, walking down the street towards the entrance, just passed the Oberoi Villas is a hotel called Taj Spice which you cannot miss. Without any of the expense or fuss of such a fancy hotel, you can easily get up to their amazing rooftop cafe and sit outside while enjoying the same beautiful view people pay thousands for at the Oberoi. Their food is delicious and beer cold - and cheap!
Check out our full 48 Hours in India itinerary on TripVerse for more detailed information on this and all the places we visited and recommend!
On our way out of town, we stopped at the beautiful Agra Fort, which would easily the be the most stunning site in Agra if it weren't for the Taj Mahal. It is well worth the visit and a fraction of the price of the Taj. ($1 instead of $10)
As soon as we wrapped up at the Agra Fort and the sun was setting it was on to Jaipur! We raced against the clock to make the 4-hour drive before it got to late and arrived at our hotel around 9 pm. A quick meal and we were off to sleep. We were exhausted but loving the adventure!
No 48 hours trip to India should be without a visit to Jaipur if you are anywhere close. It might just be my favorite city in India. There is just something different about being in Rajasthan, the Pink City, as it is called.
There is enough to fill 48 hours alone in Jaipur, but we really only had part of a day so we did all the exploring in the time we had and saw a ton! First, it was off to the old part of the city to visit the Jaipur Palace, one of the coolest and most detailed palaces we've ever seen. Make sure to make your way back to the hidden chamber with detailed and ornately decorated doorways honoring the four seasons. Make sure to have your camera ready, they are made for Instagram!
Heading out of Jaipur, stop and visit the Floating Palace and the Elephant Village. We weren't interested in paying to ride or wash the elephants, just wanted to see them. If you drive down the road from the Elephant place, there is an actual village where each family cares for 2-3 elephants and this is really cool to see. Huge elephants and people living in harmony is a wonderful thing.
Jumping back in the car with Prakash, we headed directly to the Amer (or Amber) Fort, which is one of the most amazing places we have ever seen that we never knew existed! TripVerse said we should make the trek all the way up the stairs to the top and thank god we did. The Amer Fort is SUCH an amazing place to explore and I am shocked we'd never heard of it before.
We could have gotten lost here for hours, so make sure you take the time to just wander through the hidden hallways and secret...

Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, we got married June 2013 and quickly caught the travel bug! We started “travel hacking” and taking more trips together and finally decided we wanted to travel for one year. After 2 years of saving $ and travel hacking over 2 million miles and points, we sold our cars and apartment and left January 10, 2016. We started this YouTube channel to share our experiences with friends and family, then decided we really liked vlogging and traveling. So we extended our 1 year trip to THREE years :) Now we have a goal of traveling to 100 countries before Nate turns 30 (which is March 20, 2019)! We are incredibly thankful to do something we love every day. :)

DELHI TO KATHMANDU - TRAVEL, PEOPLE, TEMPLE & REUNION (After 7 Years)
I'm sharing my last travel journey from New Delhi (INDIA) to Kathmandu (NEPAL) by train, rickshaw & bus. An amazing travel experience, temple visits and meeting old friends after 7 years. I did my high school from Cambridge college, Kathmandu, I am meeting my old school folks and then we are going to for trekking to outskirts of Kathmandu valley.
The video above was filmed on October of 2014, I am taking Indian Railways train from Anand Vihar Railway stations to Jogbani, Bihar, a small town near by India-Nepal border. I spent about 33 hours in train.
After crossing Biratnagar border I enter Nepal and take Rickshaw ride to Bus stand for Kathmandu night bus. In the way, you will see amazingly & peacefully sit Biratnagar city, which is also Nepal's 2nd largest city and is a very industrial city. Major industries and factories are set up here.
Night bus to Kathmandu drops me to Kathmandu early in the morning around 6 AM, then I meet my first friend Pradeep Thapa, After tea & breakfast we go to Vishnu Devi temple which is near by his house in Naikap, Kalanki, Kathmandu. Later we my other friend, Atul comes to see me and he was not told that I am in kathmandu, It was surprise for him. We at evening go to his house in Matatirth, Thankot, spend some good time in evening and doing sightseeing of Langtang mountain range from his terrace. It was a very lovely time for me & my friends.. Enjoy my trips & adventure along with my Hindi lessons.

American and Thai travel couple left the career in military and finance to become travel story teller, proving the world that you don't have to be rich to travel well. We met in 2015 in South Korea While working and studying there.
In 2017, September, we both kicked off traveling with $4000 in our saving account and first started creating 'divertliving' as a mean to :
☼ show you the world as the way it is - no sugar coated stuff, no hidden truth.
☼ provide you traveling tips as we consider ourselves as 'careful budget traveling couple' :)
☼ let you see our struggle and challenge we have been through while traveling and 'trying' to live digital nomad lifestyle as a mixed couple.

Best Markets in Delhi - What $100 gets you in India
What are the best markets in Delhi, India? We’ll take you to two amazing Indian markets and show you what $100 gets you in India! We wanted to find cheap shopping in Delhi without sacrificing quality, so we went to Dilli Haat and Lajpat Nagar Markets to find local Indian goods for cheap prices. We even tested out haggling in India… you tell us how we did!
There are so many places to find good shopping in Delhi, we almost didn’t know where to start. Since we were staying in South Delhi, we found two local Indian markets nearby that were highly rated as some of the best shopping in India. Our first stop was a lively market called Lajpat Nagar Market, named after the freedom fighter of India. Here you will find mostly clothes for women, handmade shoes, and fabrics all for incredibly affordable prices! We bought a shirt for $5 USD, a pair of handmade shoes for $5 USD, and some pillows for $1.50 each! Lajpat Nagar is definitely the place to come if you’re looking to partake in some bargaining in India, just make sure you don’t bargain at a fixed price shop.
Next we went to Dilli Haat market which is an amazing market filled with local handicraftsman representing every state in India. At Dillii Haat, we were able to see what crafts came from which states in India, giving us a real taste for the creative culture of the country. We loved Dilli Haat and the talented sellers that we went on a little India shopping spree here! We bought a handmade, wool floor rug (which was huge) for only $48 USD, three handmade leather purses for $15 - $20 USD each, and a handmade wool scarf for only $9 USD.
If you are looking for some of the best India shopping, we can highly recommend Dilli Haat in New Delhi. It has a great mixture of good from throughout the country and you are supporting local artisans while buying. Out of all the markets in Delhi, this one was our favorite!
Thanks to our best friend in India, Minokshi, for hanging out with us again! We were able to get better prices with her around, she’s a tough negotiator :)
If you’re looking for cheap shopping in India or other countries across the world, visit our channel and watch the other “best markets” videos. There are some amazing places to shop across the world. If you are considering traveling to India, please feel free to comment down below and ask about anything from what to do in Delhi, where to stay, or if it’s safe for women.
