Nepal - Camping trek in Godekang.
“People don’t take trips. Trips take people.” — John Steinbeck
A genuine off-the-beaten-track trek in Godekang through the beautiful landscape of Langtang National Park with locals. Share in the daily activities and regular festivities of the people of Bridim and Trek to the high pastures above Bridim and enjoy stunning views.
Very close from Kathmandu - the trek offers the chance to walk through dense forest, where you may be able to spot the elusive red panda or the langur monkey. The upper end of the valley surrounded by peaks and inhabited by yaks is a wonderful haven; you will have the chance of exploring this valley and glimpsing the high peaks of Tibet.
This innovative trek in the stunning Langtang National Park offers a genuine insight into rural life in Nepal, away from the main trekking routes. Centered in Bridim, a mountain village steeped in Tibetan culture and traditions, this trip has been designed for those who enjoy trekking through beautiful scenery, but also want to spend time with the local people. On arrival at the village of Bridim you will no doubt receive a warm welcome. One night will be spent at the high yak pasture above the village, in tent with own kitchen crew. You can even extend the trek up in the Himalayas upto a week.

Annapurna Trek last day Trekking in Himalaya Mountains of Nepal hike & walk through villages
This travel vlog is an episode from my Annapurna Trek in the Nepal mountains, a video documentary series. This is my final day of trekking in the Annapurna mountain range of the Himalayas which took me from Pokhara to Ghorepani (Poon Hill viewpoint onto Annapurna), then on to Annapurna Base Camp and back down. A six day trek up to Annapurna Base Camp, and a 3 day trek back down. This is quite a sad day as we leave the snow capped Annapurna mountains behind us and hike back into more civilised territory, passing through lots of villages and crossing lots of bridges, hiking and walking along wide paths and even gravel roads now rather than a trek on mountain trails. The scenery is still beautiful with lots of rivers and waterfalls, but lots more people both from Nepal and hikers visiting Nepal and enjoying the stunning mountain scenery and amazing hospitality provided to tourists in Nepal.
My Annapurna Base Camp Trek in the Himalayan Mountains of Nepal - Annapurna Trekking Days 1 to 9:
----------------------------------------------------
1. Pokhara by road to Nayapul then hiking to Tikhedunga for my first night in the Himalayas!
2. Tikhedunga to Ulleri via 4000 steps, then on to Ghorepani
3. Climb to Poonhill for sunrise, then full day trekking to Chulle
4. Chulle down into a river valley and back up again to Sinuwa
5. Sinuwa to Duereli via Dovan also known as Dobhan or Doban
6. Made it to ABC! (Annapurna Base Camp).
7. Annapurna Base Camp down to Sinuwa
8. Sinuwa to Kyumi
9. Kyumi back to Pokhara

Kathmandu valley sightseeing with local guide www.nepalguideinfo.com
What to Expect Nepal planet Treks and Expedition Kathmandu valley sightseeing
The Kathmandu Valley has been a tourist dreamland for centuries and on this full-day sightseeing tour you will learn about its long history of Buddhist and Hindu cultures.
As its political, commercial and cultural hub, Kathmandu City is the first stop for the majority of visitors to Nepal, providing the gateway to the great treks of the Himalayas and the Valley.
Once a separate kingdom in itself, the Valley contains three fabled cities - Kathmandu, Patan and Bhaktapur. Out of 10 UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Nepal, 7 are located in the Valley.
The history of the Valley begins with the Buddhist saint Manjushree who slashed a passage through the surrounding hills to drain out the primordial waters and make it inhabitable. Over the centuries, a refined urban civilization emerged, built on a unique synthesis of Hinduism and Buddhism.
This tour will take you on a fascinating journey that combines history with the unique world of present day Kathmandu. You will have the services of an English-speaking guide and travel by air-conditioned vehicle as you explore sights such as Durbar Square, with its array of temples overlooked by the ancient palace of Nepalese Royalty.
The square is alive with rickshaws, bicycles, tourists and tradesmen, but you can find serenity at the Buddhist Stupa of Swaymbhunath, the Hindu Pashupatinath Temple on the banks of the Bagmati River, and the stupas of Patan, known for its fine art.
Soak up this extraordinary landscape as you travel, surrounded by dramatic mountain peaks, a rich tapestry of flora and fauna, old wooden houses, temple, stupas and chatyas.
Hotel and airport pick-up and drop-off is available from central Kathmandu and hotel reservations can also be made on request.

The BP Highway, also known as the Banepa Bardibas Highway, is a highway in eastern Nepal. It links Kathmandu Valley with the Eastern Terai region. It is named after the former leader of Nepal, BP Koirala. This highway is the shortest link between Kathmandu valley and the Terai region in Nepal. Trekkers climbing 10,000 ft to reach Sete village - Nepal
Everest climbers had to climb 10,000 ft to reach Sete village in Nepal during their expedition to Everest. They are filling up water for their trek.
Indian Army added another feather to its cap in May 2001, when its mountaineers successfully scaled Mount Everest and put a record eight members and seven Sherpas on the summit. This is the largest number of summiteers on Mount Everest in an Indian expedition.
The mighty mountain ranges of the Himalayas have, over the centuries, inspired not only man's imagination and spiritual quest, but also his spirit of adventure. Mount Everest, the tallest of the peaks of the Himalayas as also the whole world, stood in its unattainable isolation for thousands of years, till Tenzing Norgay and Edmund Hillary conquered it in 1953. Since then, at least a thousand climbers have set foot on it. That at least 200 have lost their lives while trying to scale the peak speaks of the infinite dangers involved in the task.
The Indian Army Mount Everest Expedition was flagged off by the Chief of the Army Staff on 1st March 2001 at New Delhi. It was led by Col. Krishan Kumar. After flagging off, the team moved to Nepal and after a long trek from Jiri, reached Base Camp of Everest on 3rd April 2001.
The stocking and establishment of various camps was completed by 10th May 2001 and summit attempts were planned for 14-15 May. However, bad weather forced the team to return to Base Camp from Camp-II. Weather remained bad for a few days. Finally on 19th May the team started from the Base Camp for their final attempt to reach the summit. On 20th May the first summit team reached Camp-HI and the next day they reached South Col around 1300 hours. The same night the summit attempt started. After making their way through severe winds and subfreezing conditions, the first party consisting of seven members and three Sherpas finally reached the summit of Everest on 23rd May between 0720 hours and 0845 hours. The second team comprising one member and four Sherpas left Camp-Ill around 0630 hours on 23rd May and reached the summit of Mount Everest around 0545 hours on 24th May 2001.
Smooth de-induction to the Base Camp was subsequently carried out wherein all the camps were closed. In keeping with the Indian Army's care and concern for the protection of the environment, all waste was brought down from the mountain.

Climbing peak, Chulu west expedition 2020, Annapurna Chulu west expedition 2020, trekking tour 2020
Ascent of mount Chulu West and mount Chulu Central are best made from a base camp in a small valley north of Manang situated off the main trail to Thorong La pass 5416m. Indeed some of the best views of this peak can be had from that pass. North-West Ridge: Go beyond the hut following the yak pastures and walk up a ridge which leads into a hidden valley where it is possible to find a good site for base camp. From this camp , ascend steep scree slopes to a col 4,900 or 16,076 feet), on a subsidiary ridge that leads down from the main ridge. To the north of the col ascend snow slope for 200 meters to the base of a band of rock at an altitude of 5,100 meters and the site for a possible high camp.
Climb the rock band with some difficulty to the north-west shoulder of Chulu west 5450 meters or 17,880 feet, where another camp can be established or alter-native a camp can be placed on a snow plateau above 5,530 meters or 18,143 feet. On the first ascent and several subsequent ascents rope was fixed on the rock band. From the plateau continue up the progressively narrowing ridge to the summit 6,250 meters /20,505 feet. Descend by the some route. Every season Monterosa Treks and expedition organized this expedition.

Himalaya Trek in the Annapurna Mountains Nepal Video: Trekking to ABC Annapurna Base Camp Vlog
Annapurna Mountains Nepal Video Trekking to ABC: Crossing Rivers and View of Annapurna Fang
This is my last trekking day in the Himalaya Mountains of Nepal before the final accent to Annapurna Base Camp (ABC). I am trekking with Himalayan Sewa Expedition & Trekking, contact details below.
The going is getting a bit tough in places with rocks under foot and slippy bridges over river crossings, there is one especially tricky and slippy bridge over a fast flowing river near the end of the day after a recent landslide. We make it safely to the village of Himalaya for lunch and then have to speed up the pace in order to beat the weather, the clouds start closing in and it looks like snow could be on its way. There are clouds above us and clouds below us but we manage to stay ahead of the bad weather and make it to Deurali where we will be sleeping for the night relatively dry. Once in Deurali I take you on a quick tour of the room I will be staying in which is a dorm style room with 9 beds. All accommodation once you reach this later stage of the Annapurna Base Camp hike will be in shared accommodation such as this.

Hi my name is Simon, I love to travel and I want to inspire you to leave your comfort zone behind once in a while to enjoy something different, which is why I have decided to vlog my way around the world one country at a time. I hope I inspire you to travel somewhere new yourself, or maybe revisit one of your favourite places.
As well as travel vlogs I will share with you how to get to some of the most beautiful and inspirational destinations on the earth, top travel tips and Budget Buster videos to let you know how much you should expect to pay if you want to travel to one of these destinations for yourself.
I would be delighted to answer any questions you leave in the comments section of videos, or leave a comment to suggest where I should travel to next.

Nepal Video in Himalayas Trekking Annapurna narrow paths beautiful river valleys & villages of Nepal
This travel vlog is an episode of my Annapurna trekking in Nepal video documentary series is a video from the second day of trekking down from Annapurna Base Camp. We set off from Sinuwa (see previous video: ) and now the himalayan mountain scenery is still stunning, lush and green as we pass through a beautiful Nepal river valley and along some very narrow mountain trekking paths. I watch in amazement as sherpas carry everything from steel girders to mattresses across these narrow Himalayan mountain paths and up steep mountain steps.
My Annapurna Base Camp Trek in the Himalayan Mountains of Nepal - Annapurna Trekking Days 1 to 8:
----------------------------------------------------
1. Pokhara by road to Nayapul then hiking to Tikhedunga for my first night in the Himalayas!
2. Tikhedunga to Ulleri via 4000 steps, then on to Ghorepani
3. Climb to Poonhill for sunrise, then full day trekking to Chulle
4. Chulle down into a river valley and back up again to Sinuwa
5. Sinuwa to Duereli via Dovan also known as Dobhan or Doban
6. Made it to ABC! (Annapurna Base Camp).
7. Annapurna Base Camp down to Sinuwa
8. Sinuwa to Kyumi
