Trou aux Cerfs is located in Curepipe which is located in the district of the Plaines Wilhems one of the nine districts of Mauritius Island. Trou aux Cerfs is one of the main attractions of Curepipe. Trou aux Cerfs is a dormant and quite impressive volcano which gives a fabulous panoramic view of the island.

????Ancien cratère de 300 mètres de diamètre, Trou aux Cerfs à l’Île Maurice se situe sur la route qui va de la ville de Curepipe à Floréal.
Il a vu le jour pendant la quatrième et dernière période de formation de l’île Maurice, il y a moins de 1 millions d’années.
Du haut de ses 600 m d’altitude, on prend plaisir à observer la vue panoramique. ☺️

Trou aux Cerfs , Trou aux Cerfs (also known as Murr's Volcano) is a dormant volcano with a well-defined cone and crater. It is 605 m (1,985 ft) high and located in Curepipe, Mauritius. The crater has been alternately described as 300[1] and 350 meters in diameter,[2] and is 80 meters deep.[2] The crater was formed less than 2 million years ago in the second phase of volcanic activity that created Mauritius.[3]
According to experts, the volcano is currently dormant but could become active at any time within the next thousand years.[citation needed]
The crater is only accessible down a steep embankment which is considered dangerous. Water and silt have clogged the crater, making it even less accessible.

Die kurze Wanderung um den Vulkan Trou Aux Cerfs ist ein Rundweg mit teilweise herrlichem Ausblick auf die Berge vor Port Louis und Flic Flac/Tamarin. Ein fast freier Blick auf den nahezu zugewachsenen Vulkansee ist nur im höher gelegenen Teil des Rundweges möglich. Dort lohnt es sich aber sowohl den faszinierenden Blick auf den See, wie auch den Blick auf die bizarren Zuckerhut ähnlichen Berge von Mauritius zu genießen.
