.Аэропорт Монастир имени Хабиба Бургибы (англ. Habib Bourguiba International Airport, фр. L'aeroport international de Monastir Habib-Bourguiba, араб. (IATA: MIR, ICAO: DTMB)) — международный аэропорт города Монастир в Тунисе. Назван в честь первого президента Туниса Хабиба Бургибы, уроженца Монастира, чья резиденция находилась вблизи аэропорта.
Аэропорт расположен в туристическом районе Сканес, некоторые отели расположены в шаговой доступности. По большей части используется чартерными авиакомпаниями, которые привозят туристов на курорты Туниса. Обслуживает жителей городов Сус, Монастир, Махдия, Кайруан.
Аэропорт является базовым аэропортом тунисской авиакомпании Nouvelair. Наземное обслуживание обеспечивает Nouvelair.
Порт считается одним из старейших в Тунисе. Из-за того, что его давно не перестраивали, «Монастир» сегодня кажется ветхим и устаревшим. Разумеется, что более современным собратьям он не конкурент.
Значительными объемами перевозок он также похвастать, увы, не может: основной пассажиропоток составляют жители Восточной Европы и россияне, изредка — посетители из ФРГ, Франции и ОАЭ.
Невзирая на свою старомодность, «Монастир» имеет некие уникальные, неповторимые черты, которыми нет у других портов. Речь идет о каскадах искусственно созданных водоемов по периметру территории. Со временем на озерах создалась своеобразная биосфера, их заселили фламинго и цапли. Открывающийся с борта заходящего на посадку самолета вид сверху, множество прекрасных птиц, гнездящихся поблизости, производят на туристов незабываемое впечатление, заставляя мгновенно забыть о прочих неудобствах.
Наиболее этот маршрут перелета подходит для едущих в Монастир, Сусс и Махдию. Последняя ближе всех расположена к воздушному порту.

Taxi ride from the beach at Yasmine back to my hotel in Hammamet. The only taxi I could find was parked on the beach but I couldn't find the driver at first. Turns out he had went for a swim in the sea whilst waiting on a fare. It was a yellow VW Jetta for anyone that's interested.

This hotel is a must.
It was the highlight of our trip to Tunisia. Good food, nice pools and beach, amazing selection of vine. (And really reasonable vine prices) This place has almost everything you expect from a great hotel.
Minuses:
Ending my stay at La Badira
Airport shuttle is too expensive. At least 4-5 times of normal taxi cost.
House keeping started to knock at 8.15 on a weekend. (You have to keep do not disturb sign on every night)
Having Nescafé in the room (not Nespresso) is a bit tacky for a world class boutique hotel.
Sometimes you can struggle to communicate with the stuff in English.

SMALL AIRPORT MAINLY USED BY UK VISITORS. SECURITY IS ODD, THE TWO PEOPLE NEXT TO US ACCIDENTALLY BROUGHT FULL COKE BOTTLES THROUGH. LADY ON THE SCANNER WAS TEXTING ON HER PHONE RATHER THAN LOOKING AT THE SCREEN. ONLY 6 FLIGHTS YESTERDAY ALL DAY !

Ausnahmsweise war AHA Djerba nicht auf Djerba, sondern in Tunis, der Landeshauptstadt, unterwegs.
Es gibt jedoch Sachen, die sind gleich geblieben: gefilmt haben wir aus einem Taxifenster (das sauberer sein könnte, aber schaut selbst) :-) und im Radio läuft arabische Musik. Von daher: geniesst die Fahrt und schaut euch ein bisschen um. :-)
