Personeelsfeest t.g.v. het vijfentwintigjarig bestaan van de Tuschinski-bioscoop in Amsterdam. Auteurs: Alex de Haas (tekst), muziek: Tuschinski-orkest o.l.v. Govert Verheul en aan het orgel Fred Wolfers.

Beelden van de aankomst van genodigden voor de gala-voorstelling t.g.v. het 25-jarig bestaan op 28 oktober 1946.
Het personeel en de directie drinken thee in Cabaret La Gaieté, de assistent-bedrijfsleider biedt het ontwerp van het huldeblijk aan en hierna volgt een toespraak van dhr. Gerschtanowitz, het oudste nog in leven zijnde lid van de familie Tuschinski.
De personeelsleden die al vanaf de opening in dienst zijn, worden gehuldigd.
In de hulpkeuken reiken koks klaargemaakte schotels over aan obers. In de hal, die is ingericht als restaurant, wordt gedineerd. Dhr. Blom, voorzitter van de raad van beheer van de NV Tuschinski, houdt een speech. Hij kondigt aan dat Tuschinski een premievrij pensioenfonds voor zijn personeel zal oprichten. Na het diner wordt feest gevierd tot in de kleine uurtjes.

One of the most iconic examples of Art Deco is the Theater Tuschinski, right off the Rembrandtplein. Built in 1921 by Abraham Tuschinski, both the inside and outside are a rich, opulent feast for the eyes. Step back in time as Sander gives you the grand tour through the ornate lobby, the grand main theater, the upstairs balconies and the backstage VIP room. Besides the Deco style, there are also influences of Gothic, Art Nouveau and the Amsterdam School. The theater still operates as a Pathe cinema and you can take an audio tour of the theater every morning before the first film.

Aankomst van de Amerikaanse filmacteur Charles King in Amsterdam voor de première van de film Hollywood Revue (waarin hij zelf de hoofdrol speelt) in theater Tuschinski.

So we were really excited to watch the Avengers Endgame but we didn’t buy the ticket on the premier day because we want to enjoy our first experience of Pathe Tuschinski movie theater in Amsterdam.

HvA geeft oudere Amsterdammers uitje naar Tuschinski
Een groep oudere Amsterdammers mocht vanmiddag uitgedost over de rode loper bij Tuschinski. De ouderen hadden het uitje te danken aan studenten van de Hogeschool van Amsterdam, die onderzoek doen naar ouderdom in de stad.

Pathé Tuschinski is a movie theater in the Netherlands in Amsterdam commissioned by Abraham Icek Tuschinski in 1921 at a cost of 4 million guilders. The interior and exterior are a spectacular mix of styles, as designed by Hijman Louis de Jong; Amsterdam School, Jugendstil, Art Nouveau and Art Deco. The main auditorium hosts many premieres of Dutch films. It is considered to be one of the most beautiful cinemas in the world.
The building contains Asian influences while the lobby was designed in a way to offer theatergoers the feeling that they are stepping into an illusion. The Tuschinski's main auditorium has served as both a movie theater and a live performance space since its opening. In addition to a film screen, it also contains a stage and an organ.
When it first opened, the theater contained electro-technical features, then considered revolutionary. Its unique heating and ventilation system kept the temperature even throughout the building. In 1940 a Wurlitzer- Strunk theatre organ was installed, consecutively to a Wurlitzer model 160.
During the Second World War (1940–1945) the theatre was given the name 'Tivoli'.
Between 1998 and 2002, the theater was renovated in its original style. It was also expanded, with a new, more modern wing that connects to the original building via a corridor. The new wing added three extra auditoriums to the Tuschinski.

Zelf kwam ik al sinds 1950 in Theater Tuschinski
ik zat altijd 2e Balcon rij1 stoel 1, dat was de goedkoopste beste plaats,
dat had je ook goed zicht op de muziek en in de pause de live voorstellinging.
Nu tijdens de IDFA was ik als vrijwilliger weer in mijn Theater....
Ook de operator room maakte indruk op mij.
1955-2013 een hele tijd...
Het is wel tijd de operators plaats wat op de knappen.....ziet er uit als in 1933...
