Turin, Italy. Night Walk in the City Centre. Torino Centro di Notte
Via Roma, Piazza San Carlo, Piazza Castello
Turin, Italy | Torino, Italia
Turn, Italy November 2016. Highlights of our trip to Turin where the Fiat was born. Turin was the first capital of Italy before Rome. Didn't get to see the Shroud of Turin as they don't have it on display, but we did get to see a little video about it. I highly recommend visiting this often overlooked city. There is so much to do and see. Be sure to have a Bicerin, a Torinese drink consisting of chocolate, espresso and slightly thickened cream on top.

Autumn in Turin, Italy | City Tour | Urban Film
Welcome to Turin!
With this video from Turin, I wanted to present the most beautiful and evocative places in my city.
Autumn is the best season to visit the city, with its colors and its breathtaking views.
Even if this season changes so suddenly, Turin always shows its best face, under the sun and in the rain.
Let the city speak for itself, expressing all its beauty, full of suggestive corners and hidden places.
The video was shot following an itinerary that will allow you to visit the city only through the eyes, passing through its houses, its monuments, its hidden streets.

Places to see in ( Turin - Italy ) Piazza Castello
Piazza Castello is Turin's main square , the heart of the city's historic center , where four main roads meet: the pedestrian via Garibaldi , via Po , via Roma and via Micca . With its square shape, it houses the architectural complex of Palazzo Madama and Casaforte degli Acaja in its center , while the perimeter is composed of elegant porticoes, built in different eras, and important city buildings, such as: Palazzo della Prefettura - Armeria Reale (north ), the Teatro Regio (to the east), the two stately buildings on either side of Via Garibaldi , one of which houses the Piedmont Region (to the west), the Royal Church of San Lorenzo (to the northwest), the Galleria Subalpina (a south-east), and the Littoria Tower(south-west); in particular, the large square is grafted to the northwest with the smallest Piazzetta Reale, flanked by the Palazzo Chiablese , and which gives access to the relative Royal Palace and the pedestrian crossing towards Piazzetta San Giovanni ( Turin Cathedral ).
Piazza Castello is the historical and political center of Turin and, as already mentioned, during the period of the stay in the city of the Savoy Court , it was the most important place of their Kingdom . In addition to the two most important, the Palazzo Madama-Casaforte Acaja and the Royal Palace at the bottom of the Royal Square, we find: the Teatro Regio (north-east), the two palaces along the western side (of which the right is from the Giunta Regional), the Palace of the Prefecture - Royal Armory in the north, (former Government Building, State Archives and Royal Library ), the Real Church of San Lorenzo , thePalazzo Chiablese , to the left of the Piazzetta Reale, the Torre Littoria (to the south-west).
Statue of the Bishop of the Sardinian Army, in front of Palazzo Madama . Work in white marble by Vincenzo Vela of 1857 and inaugurated in April 1859 [13] , was donated by the Milanese to the Sardinian-Piedmontese army , in which they had placed the hopes of liberation from the Austrian invader (beginning of the second war of independence ) .
Equestrian monument to the Cavaliere d'Italia, located on the southern side of Palazzo Madama , or the one facing Via Roma - Via Accademia delle Scienze. Work of Pietro Canonica of 1923 , it was strongly desired to remember all the heroes of the Cavalry army , the brave military body used both during the independence wars and in the First World War
Monument to the General Duke Emanuele Filiberto of Savoia-Aosta ( 1869 - 1931 ), located behind the Palazzo Madama and Casaforte degli Acaja , in the direction of Via Po . It is a large raised base, in smooth stone, with the bronze statue of Emanuele Filiberto di Savoia-Aosta in the center , also called the Invite Duke (= in vittoria), standing upright and with the classic helmet and military coat ( hence the nickname for the statue of Il Cappotto). The General distinguished himself for the victory of the First World War on the Austro-Hungarians ( 1918), and is in fact surrounded by two other side groups, composed of four statues depicting his fellow soldiers. The work was carried out by the sculptors Eugenio Baroni and Publio Morbiducci in the period 1933 - 1937 . The statue of the General alone was erected by fusing the bronze of four of the original cannons taken from the enemy army.
( Turin - Italy ) is well know as a tourist destination because of the variety of places you can enjoy while you are visiting Turin . Through a series of videos we will try to show you recommended places to visit in Turin - Italy

Walking in Turin, Italy.
Turin is the capital city of Piedmont in northern Italy, known for its refined architecture and cuisine. The Alps rise to the northwest of the city. Stately baroque buildings and old cafes line Turin's boulevards and grand squares such as Piazza Castello and Piazza San Carlo. Nearby is the soaring spire of the Mole Antonelliana, a 19th-century tower housing the interactive National Cinema Museum.
