Another crazy week with Venture With Dan in Vietnam, I left Nha Trang early as I didn't like it there and flew to Ho Chi Minh City, on the first day I went to the Cu Chi Tunnels which were amazing and so interesting, the next day I spent it chilling and vlog editing and swimming before going to the Glow Sky - a MUST DO IF YOUR IN HCMC!!!! The next morning I took a tour round the Mekong Delta which was awesome so cool and did so much fun activities and learnt so much on the tour. From HCMC I flew to Phuc Quoc and what an amazing island this is I enjoyed time chilling on beaches and around the swimming pool, I went to the Vinpearl theme park, I ate lots of seafood at the night market and I explored the island on a scooter - great fun. I finally flew back to HCMC and went to see the new Jungle Book - great film!! All in all another amazing week!
Vietnam has been incredible but it is now time to leave and move on to the next adventure! So come along and Venture With Dan

Spraycation in Saigon 2018
In Jan of 2018 I went on a trip to Saigon, Vietnam to better understand their culture and improve my travel photography skills by taking pics of graffiti for Juxtapoz Magazine. But I ended up running around town with graffiti writers from all over the world! With some being from Los Angeles, Oakland, New York City, and others coming from other areas around the world like London and South Africa and Australia it was interesting how fast we all became friends. In no particular order: Lady Aiko, Mine, Mein, Dan, Abys, Glam, Sixte, Scab, Opt1, ZNC, Rice, Answer, Rots, Kong. This is one week of fun in a nation where graffiti isn't illegal as no one knows what exactly it is. You can see some don't like it and others just like to watch but for the most part every area they painted was a construction zone that they knew no one would really care about. After filling up on pho we would ride around on our mopeds from spot to spot every night. It was an exhilarating feeling like we owned the night as during the day the streets were packed with people and other mopeds to the point where it felt a bit overwhelming. The food was amazing, the people were so nice and I barely spent any money. Couldn't have asked for a better trip. Highly recommend making the trek there at some point in your life.

In today's vlog, The Lovely's finally make it into Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam! After spending one disgruntled day aboard Royal Caribbeans Ovation of the Seas in port, The Lovelys were able to find an affordable way to venture in to Ho Chi Minh City! They are blown away at all the vietnamese scooter and moped riders! They also get to visit Vietnams Reunification Palace, Ho Chi Minh's Notre Dame Cathedral, and the Saigon Central Post office! And of course, not trip to Vietnam is complete with out some delicious Pho and a visit to the Binh Tay market!

Exploring Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam- Bustling Binh Tay Wholesale Market
*Note*-In the video I mention that Binh Tay is in District 5, it's actually located in District 6 on the border of 5. The original Binh Tay market was located in District 5.
Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam is on the move! It's one of the fastest changing and growing cities of Southeast Asia with modern shopping complexes springing up everywhere, a skyline filled with construction cranes, and a joint venture between Japan and Vietnam to build the city's first subway/rapid transit system. It's great to see the people of Vietnam enjoying new amenities and infrastructure but people like me still want to see the old Saigon. Traditional culture, morning markets, non-touristy neighborhoods. The good news is there's still lots to see. Around Co Bac And Co Liang streets in District 1 they still have a traditional market and if you stay in one of the guesthouses in the neighborhood you'll feel very much like a local. The other area that's still ripe with traditional shopping and culture is Cholon or District 5 and Binh Tay Market, a wholesale market that bustles everyday of the week. Cholon is where the ethnic Chinese community is based. Some say it's the biggest Chinatown in the world. I've visited the neighborhood a few times in the last year and find it fascinating, friendly, and full of life. It's also a photographer's paradise with constant activity, huge displays of food and hard goods, and people so occupied with their tasks that candid shots are a breeze. President Clinton on Sunday wrapped up his history-making visit to Vietnam with a whirlwind day in Ho Chi Minh City, the former Saigon.
He attended a road safety event, where he was serenaded by children wearing bicycle helmets.
The president joined them in helping to encourage locals to wear protective gear while cycling in the city, where traffic injuries and deaths are a big problem.
After the event, Clinton travelled to the new marine container terminal, a joint venture between a Vietnamese state-owned company and a multinational firm.
At the shipping dock on the Saigon River - and under the shadow of two giant cranes - he said he could not wait to see what Vietnam's people accomplish when they fully open their economy and society.
The United States and Vietnam signed a sweeping trade agreement in July that will force major economic reforms and allow generally unfettered commerce.
Concluding his historic visit, Clinton urged the communist nation to open its economy and allow greater individual freedoms, saying the rewards of a free-market system should be embraced, not feared.
