Bangkok Ep66 pt1 KASR VIDEO
Note: Audio has been changed at the request of the record company.
Bobby Diablo & Miami Tallahasse ditch Manic Mike at a Narita Airport Geisha House and hid for some lunch and stuff at Bangkok, Thailand's world famous Oriental Hotel!
More of the Great KASR V Pacific Rim Road Trip: Bangkok, Thailand! Home of Big Banquets.
KASRV Point of Interest: Bangkok, known in Thai as Krung Thep Maha Nakhon, กรุงเทพมหานคร or Krung Thep กรุงเทพฯ for short, is the capital and primate city of Thailand. It is located on the banks of the Chao Phraya River, near the Gulf of Thailand.
Bangkok is the 22nd most populous city in the world. Bangkok has a registered population nearing 7 million people, however, due to discrepancies in the number of people residing without a residence certificate, the actual number could be as high as 15 million. Even then, the number of people who flux in the capital from neighbouring provinces during the day for jobs has given way to estimates as high as 20 million. There are no complete approximations of the metropolitan population, the city is a conglomerate spanning 5 provinces. The areas bounded by the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) only cover about half of the city's true size. There has been much controversy over the population and size of Bangkok.
Bangkok is a magnet for foreigners escaping turmoil in their homeland or simply for business. Bangkok has long been the gateway to Asia for foreign interests seeking new markets. The city is a major economic and financial center of Southeast Asia. Bangkok has one of the fastest rates in the world for construction of high rise buildings. The city's wealth of cultural sites makes it one of the world's most popular tourist destinations.
The Oriental Bangkok is a five-star hotel in Bangkok. Founded in 1876 on the banks of the Chao Phraya River at 48 Oriental Avenue, the hotel is well-known for the excellence of its service, which consistently places it in surveys among the world's best hotels.
It is a favorite of celebrity visitors to Bangkok. Joseph Conrad, Somerset Maugham and Noel Coward are among the famous authors who have stayed at the Oriental. They now have suites named after them, as do Graham Greene, John le Carré, Barbara Cartland and James A. Michener.
Other famous guests have included Neil Armstrong, Lauren Bacall, George H. W. Bush, Jacques Chirac, Sean Connery, Mel Gibson, Václav Havel, Audrey Hepburn, Mick Jagger, Henry Kissinger, Helmut Kohl, David Beckham, Niki Lauda, Sophia Loren, Yehudi Menuhin, Richard Nixon, Pelé, Queen Sofia of Spain, Princess Diana and Prince Charles, Omar Sharif and Elizabeth Taylor.

Don't expect a lot from this show. Was the unofficial motto of KASR VIDEO, which made a pleasant surprise when we actually knocked out a great show! The program was a weekly 2 hour public access offshoot of the Arizona State University's original alternative radio station that aired in Phoenix. The music video show featured rarely seen videos and new music not in the main stream. Along with non-conventional interviews it became a decent way to nurse a hangover with the midnight party crowd. These clips are edited as a sort of best of; minus the music videos.

This is the elevator at the visitor center at the bottom of Mount Washington. I did this after we drove up the mountain and then back down.

SUMMARY
=======
An airport is an aerodrome with extended facilities, mostly for commercial air transport. Airports often have facilities to store and maintain aircraft, and a control tower. An airport consists of a landing area, which comprises an aerially accessible open space including at least one operationally active surface such as a runway for a plane to take off or a helipad, and often includes adjacent utility buildings such as control towers, hangars and terminals. Larger airports may have airport aprons, taxiway bridges, air traffic control centres, passenger facilities such as restaurants and lounges, and emergency services. In some countries, the US in particular, they also typically have one or more fixed-base operators, serving general aviation.
An airport solely serving helicopters is called a heliport. An airport for use by seaplanes and amphibious aircraft is called a seaplane base. Such a base typically includes a stretch of open water for takeoffs and landings, and seaplane docks for tying-up.
An international airport has additional facilities for customs and passport control as well as incorporating all of the aforementioned elements. Such airports rank among the most complex and largest of all built typologies with 15 of the top 50 buildings by floor area being airport terminals.

SUMMARY
=======
The Louisiana Purchase Exposition, informally known as the St. Louis World's Fair, was an international exposition held in St. Louis, Missouri, United States, from April 30 to December 1, 1904. Local, state, and federal funds totaling $15 million were used to finance the event. More than 60 countries and 43 of the 45 American states maintained exhibition spaces at the fair, which was attended by nearly 19.7 million people.
Historians generally emphasize the prominence of themes of race and empire, and the fair's long-lasting impact on intellectuals in the fields of history, art history, architecture and anthropology. From the point of view of the memory of the average person who attended the fair, it primarily promoted entertainment, consumer goods and popular culture.
