STORYLINE:
Chinese President Jiang Zemin continued his visit to Moscow on Tuesday with a visit to Moscow State University and talks with Yegor Stroyev, speaker of the upper chamber of the Russian parliament.
Jiang told students at Moscow State University on Tuesday that the new, 20-year friendship treaty between Russia and China was aimed at protecting global security.
Jiang and Russian President Vladimir Putin signed the treaty on Monday, formalising the burgeoning ties between the two nations following decades of Cold War rivalry.
The goal of signing the treaty was to deepen mutual confidence, Jiang said, speaking Russian. If we firmly and unfailingly implement this treaty, we will make Russian-Chinese relations an example of friendship.
Putin, who usually confines his formal meetings with foreign leaders in Moscow to the Kremlin, joined the Chinese president at the university for the speech.
He said the treaty was very important and praised Jiang for delivering the 40-minute speech in Russian, a language the Chinese leader learned as a student in Moscow.
Jiang said that each time he visited Russia he felt at home.
From the university, Jiang headed for the parliamentary building for a meeting with Prime Minister Mikhail Kasyanov before meeting Yegor Stroyev, speaker of the upper chamber of the Russian parliament.
Later on Tuesday, Jiang is expected to leave Moscow for Volgograd.
Putin and Jiang pledged in a joint statement on Monday that their countries would remain friends forever, and never become enemies.
The treaty emphasised that the two nations were not forming a military pact against other countries.
China bought billions of dollars worth of Russian fighter jets, submarines, missiles and destroyers during the 1990s, becoming the biggest customer for Russia's ailing military industrial complex.
In its military buildup, Beijing has concentrated on amassing tactical, not strategic, weapons.
Monday's treaty also confirmed Russia's support for the Chinese claim on Taiwan, opposing independence for what Beijing views as a renegade province.
The two territories split in the 1949 civil war.

Coventry now has 26 twins around the world and is known as a city that welcomes migrants and refugees. When walking the city’s streets Punjabi, Urdu and Polish can frequently be heard alongside accents from across the West Midlands, nearby Warwickshire and Ireland.

Hello friends!!!
Malye Korely (Russian: Малые Корелы) is a village in Primorsky District of Arkhangelsk Oblast, in the north of Russia. The main sight of the village is an open-air museum, featuring the traditional wooden architecture of Arkhangelsk area. The museum is located on the right bank of the Northern Dvina River close to the mouth of the Korelka River, about 25 kilometres (16 mi) southeast from the city of Arkhangelsk.
History
The museum was created on July 17, 1964.Traditional wooden architecture has been recognized at the time one of the most characteristic features of Russian Norths, and some of the buildings, churches, chapels, and peasant houses, scattered all over the Arkhangelsk Oblast, were put under state protection. The goal of the creation of the museum was to save the most outstanding wooden monuments, placing them under protection on the premises of the museum. The first building, a windmill (1744) from the village of Bor of Kholmogorsky District, was moved to the museum in 1968. In 1972, the first exhibit item, an icon showing St. James, was transferred to the museum. In parallel with the building transfer, it was decided that the museum will be divided into a number of sectors, representing different historical areas. The first sector, representing Kargopol and the Onega, was completed in 1973, and on June 1, 1973 the museum was open for public.
In 1983, the museum became a member of the European Open-Air Museum Association. In 1986, the museum, which was previously subordinate to the Arkhangelsk Fine Art Museum, became an independent museum unit. In 1995, it was designated as a cultural monument of federal significance. Lidia Bostryom was the director of the museum between 1975 and 2005.

Rodina mat (The Motherland Monument), Proud of kiev
The Motherland Monument stainless steel statue is 62 meters (203 ft), located on the main building of the museum with the main structure, including its base, having a total structure of 102 meters (335 ft) and weighing 560 tons. The statue holds 16 meters (52 ft) long in its right hand, weighing 9 tons, with the left hand holding a 13-meter (43 ft 26 ft) shield of the State Amblemoff Soviet Union. In the memorial hall of the museum, the names of thousands of soldiers are displayed by marble strips.
After reaching Metro Arsenalna (world's deepest metro station), you can reach Pecherska Lavra by bus number 24, from there you walk and enter the in the park where the Soviet Russia time tanks are kept at the entrance. The monument is a monumental statue set atop a huge hill on the banks of the Daniparo River in the capital of Ukraine, Kiev. The face of this statue is towards the river Dnipro, which attracts those coming from the river side.
However the statue is so high and it can be seen from many different areas in Kiev. There is a worthy will for millions of people of Ukraine who are proud of them. This gives Kiev city a different identity. The Rodina Mat is really impressive. It is placed on the hill, so it is one of the places from which you can see the city from a height. And it is good to have a picnic or just lay there on the grass in the sunshine season. You can just walk around the grounds.
In the beautiful garden, on a summer evening, you can have a beautiful view of the river flowing with your family and the magnificent luxurious buildings of the city. It has a beautiful garden around the place with a beautiful arsenal and exhibitions of vehicles and weapons! On the other side the greenery of the beautifully decorated trees and the vast green field is visible and beyond it the dome of gold gleaming Pecherska Lavra is quite impressive.
You can take a walk around and enjoy the beautiful view of the Kiev. Entry is free and if you prefer to explore a close part of the specific exhibition, you can pay and enjoy. #Moscow (Russian: Москва, Moskva) is an 870-year-old iconic, global city, which has played a central role in the development of #Russia and the world, as the capital of the Russian Empire, the Soviet Union, and, today, the Russian Federation. For many, the sight of the Kremlin complex in the center of the city is still loaded with symbolism and history.
The heart of Russia’s capital, Red Square is arguably Moscow’s most visited attraction. The cobblestone square is surrounded by beautiful architecture, and is the place where most of the city’s (and country’s) history unfolded. What was once a market square where traders would sell their goods is now a key location in the city, surrounded by unforgettable sites such as the Kremlin, St.Basil’s Cathedral, Lenin’s Mausoleum and other celebrated attractions.
Soak up the archetypal image of Russia’s capital with the glistening rainbow domes of St Basil’s cathedral. The onion-shaped domes were designed to make the building look like the shape of a flame on a bonfire. Moscow’s ultimate love-it-or-hate-it landmark, Lenin’s Mausoleum houses a glass sarcophagus with the embalmed body of the legendary Russian revolutionary, Vladimir Lenin.
The biggest active fortress in #Europe, Moscow’s Kremlin offers a week’s worth of attractions. Once you get behind the 2,235 metre-long kremlin walls, there are five squares to wander around, various buildings to #explore, 20 towers to learn the names of, and the world’s largest bell and cannon to see.
An attraction in its own right, the State Historical Museum, sheltered in a neo-Russian style building, was founded in 1872 by Ivan Zabelin and Aleksey Uvarov. Russia’s main department store, GUM’s stunning interior houses a variety of high-end boutiques. Built between 1890 and 1893 and known as the Upper Trading Rows until the 1920s, the legendary store is now home to over 200 boutiques selling a variety of brands
An elegant historic street right in the city centre, Arbat is one of Moscow’s most touristy spots. With lots of cafés and restaurants, live music performers and caricaturists. #Arbat is amazing. Also, built between 1900 and 1905, Tretyakov Gallery started as the private collection of the Tretyakov brothers.
Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts is the largest foreign art museum in Moscow comprises three branches housing a collection of incredible works by masters of ancient civilizations, the Italian Renaissance and the Dutch Golden Age. Moscow’s premier green space, Gorky Park, offers entertainment for every taste: outdoor dancing sessions.
If you to take a walk from Gorky Park along the Moscow river embankment, you’ll end up in the city’s other legendary park, Sparrow Hills. Opened in 1856, the legendary Bolshoi Theater is one of the pest places in Moscow for an evening of entertainment. Adding to this, the enormous VDNKh (short for All-Russian Exhibition Centre) recently went through an extensive renovation and now looks better than ever.
The former summer residence of Empress Catherine the Great was commissioned in 1775, and succumbed to deterioration during the Soviet era. The whole of Tsaritsyno Museum-Reserve has been fundamentally renovated since 1980s. Mostly known for the city’s largest and best known flea market, the district of Izmaylovo is home to a maze of shops where you can get just about anything.
Built in 1967, Ostankino TV Tower was the tallest free-standing construction in the world at the time. Also, A 10-minute metro ride from the city centre will take you to Kolomenskoe Museum-Reserve, where you can get an idea of what Medieval Moscow looked like.
Founded in 1524, the Novodevichy Convent is a place steeped in history. In addition, one of Russia’s most visited cathedrals, the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour is a truly remarkable site. For those on a slightly more limited budget, ditch window shopping at the exclusive GUM and take a foray into the madly bustling world of Izmailovsky.
( Moscow - Russia ) is well know as a tourist destination because of the variety of places you can enjoy while you are visiting Moscow. Through a series of videos we will try to show you recommended places to visit in Moscow - Russia
