Transcription:
Hi, welcome back to this special anniversary edition of REALTALK™ with Sarasota's luxury waterfront specialist, Roger Pettingell. Hey Roger.
How many is this Mary Kay?
This is our four-year anniversary.
Four years ago we started this.
Let's talk a little bit about your listings.
Okay, I typically average about thirty to forty listings at any given time, their price range around three hundred thousand to seven million.
Last year we sold 62 million dollars, this year we’re over 30 million in contracted or closed sales through the end of March.
The Wall Street Journal named me as the 239th highest selling volume Realtor in the country for 2013.
I just read in the paper in our little office, we just surpassed 50 million, making us number one year-to-date in our area.
Coldwell Banker had their awards for the state of Florida, so we did very well.
We did and congratulations, number one for the sixth time.
I got this Eagle award today from Coldwell Banker, I have actually gotten a couple before.
A few.
Very exciting to be the number one Coldwell Banker agent in the state of Florida.
I'd like to introduce you today to my insurance guru, Mike Mailliard.
Today we have a special guest in our office is Tom Luzier, partner at Dunlap-Moran, one of Sarasota's finest law firms.
Today we have Diana Corrigan, who get me, tell me if I'm right, executive director of the St. Armands Merchants Association.
Circle Association.
And today we have a special guest Adrian Griffin, who is our favorite designer, stager.
Hi, I'm Max Pettingell.
I'm here today in a really special place at Southeastern Guide Dogs, with some of my new puppy friends. And we're here to talk about something fun today.
This morning's REALTALK™ is a special one for me because I'm here with Nate Jacobs and he's the founder and artistic director of the Westcoast Black Theatre.
And we have a guest.
We have a special guest here. Hi Springfield.
So if you don't remember, Springfield is a Southeastern Guide Dog and they call her. Yeah, have a rest. They call her a breeder dog at Southeastern Guide Dogs and our family is a host family for her.
Saturday edition. You know why we're here?
Weekend Update.
You know why we're doing a Saturday edition?
Why?
April Fool's.
So today is one of my favorite days, non-real estate-related by bringing in all of our real estate friends and customers.
That it's pie day and on pie day, which is the day before Thanksgiving, we get pies for all of our customers, and they'll come in and we'll get to see people we haven't seen all year maybe. They select their favorite pie from Yoder's and we help share and be a part of their Thanksgiving.
You know this, I think is the 15th pie day that we've had. We call it pie day.
All dressed up.
Well it's Halloween, and dressed like a business guy.
My rose is million dollars in sales from a real state point of view, and happy, healthy family, also great.
Hi, welcome back to this special holiday edition of REALTALK™.
I'm Max Pettingell and this is my brother Jake Pettingell. Where's dad today?
He's probably selling another house.
Did you hear he sold over a hundred-million again this year?
Happy fall, Roger.
Oh it's so freezing. You know I think it's in the 80s.
Mary Kay, how are you in this beautiful summer morning?
I'm a little warm.
Mary Kay, could it be any more beautiful today? I'm determining that this is the most beautiful day of 2017.
We've educated the people of Sarasota for all these years.
I hope so.
We hope you'll come back and see us for four more years, because we're gonna keep doing it. REALTALK™ is here to stay.

Outtake: Goat takes on ABC 7's Linda Carson
PALMETTO, Fla. -- A valuable lesson was learned by ABC 7's Linda Carson Tuesday: never turn your back on a goat.
She was at the Manatee County Fair in Palmetto recording a track for her story about kids that raise goats, when one goat decided that it was not pleased to have her in the pen -- charging her and knocking her to the floor. It even came back for a second charge.
Thankfully Linda look the whole thing in stride and laughed it off. She says it didn't even hurt.
