Wolf Den Hike
My hike on Wolf Den Loop at the FDR State Park end of the Pine Mountain Trail. This is the state park encompassing the Little White House, the warm springs that FDR frequented and the surrounding environs.
FDR camping trip
Our first ever, amateur, camping trip. We camped at Bubble Bee Ridge site in FDR State Park in Georgia and hiked the Pine Mountain trails. The hike in was killer (mostly up hill with rough terrain) but well worth it once we reached camp.
This area of Pine Mountain is dotted with small waterfalls, creek crossings, a wolf den, and beautiful wildlife. Being an artist, I take a watercolor sketch book to take notes and plein air sketch my surroundings. This was an incredable place to go as an artist!

Mountain Memories - North Ga Cabin Rentals
Rolling hills and shallow valleys on a quiet country road, which leads to a gentle flowing pasture land filled with bundles of hay and a scene straight out of a Monet painting. This is the road to the Mountain Memories cabin, which is personally situated on at least 3 rolling acres with an abundantly overflowing vineyard adjacent to the property. There are rockers on the front and back porches, gas grill and an inviting hot tub to soak in while your daily stress just melts away.

What to Do if You're Ever Followed By a Mountain Lion
Two hikers in California got the shock of their lives when they came face-to-face with a mountain lion. Brian McKinney and Sam Vonderheide were on the High Sierra Trail in Sequoia National Park on July 23 when they locked eyes with the beast as it stood stoic on the mountain. The hikers, who recorded the incident, contemplated what to do. One wanted to run away but the ferocious cat looked ready to pounce. At the end of the clip, they slowly back away from the beast.

The Scary Sounds that a Wild Bobcat makes. Rarely heard. (READ DESCRIPTION)
A lot of people have the opinion when they watch this video for the first time that my bobcat is being aggressive and that he wants to kill my domestic cat, but if you watch it again there are some things to look for that show very clearly that he's not exhibiting any aggressive behaviors, and is not meaning any harm whatsoever, so I'll do a little break down of the video and what is really happening. also a bobcat has never killed an animal that it was raised with from birth. So at the beginning you see a short couple second chase which sounds loud, but only lasts a couple seconds and covers about 3 feet. lol Then they stop and my domestic sits down and gives a small warning growl. Nothing too crazy, but just telling my bobcat to stop it. and notice the body language of my bobcat here. after the growl from the domestic he turns his head, then backs up. then yawns. lol and then Lets out a small high pitched whine sound basically saying, come on. I still want to play. why are we stopping? because right before I turned the camera on they were playing and wrestling. my bobcat then retreats, turns around and comes back, very relaxed, with no signs of tension, he tests to see if my cat wants to play by stepping a little closer to him, and my domestic lets out another little warning growl, still nothing too crazy, but just telling him he's done playing. and again you see my bobcat in a submissive posture, looking down, trying to look seemingly disinterested, smelling the oven, and then in complete submission just laying down. Then my domestic calmly jumps up onto the counter, not to get away like some people are saying, but just to get onto the counter because that's one of his favorite places to lay. If he were scared he would literally run away, across the house and try to hide somewhere. But he's not afraid, and has nothing to run from. and then my bobcat of course follows. Not fast, but curious. and my domestic lets out another little growl saying stop following me lol. then Benji lets out another little whine, then sits, then yawn number two. When a bobcat is being aggressive or is mad or wants to kill an animal they do not yawn. haha. Still nothing aggressive on my bobcat's part. and he jumps up on the counter, and gets too close and knows to stop before he gets smacked by my cat. Then yawn number 3. Then looks at me with that shit eating grin. and eyes almost closed because he is dead tired. Then you hear some sounds from my bobcat which are whiney sounds, spoiled brat sounds because he's not getting his way, and even though he is so tired, he still just wants to play. and then more sounds, that if people aren't familiar with can be misinterpreted as aggressive sounds, but definitely are not. just being a brat and not getting my way sounds Then finally, so tired, trying to keep his eyes open just slides down to lay down. .realizing that he's way too tired to play anymore and if he keeps it up he's going to get smacked by my domestic. and of course then we have yawn number 4. and trying so hard just to keep his eyes open. and people are saying he's trying to kill my domestic cat. lol. seriously? I don't know what video people are watching but it's certainly not this video. and they are now laying next to each other, completely calm and this is where they fell asleep and slept for an hour or so after I got done filming. A domestic cat would not be sleeping next to an animal that it was afraid of and would not stay there if it felt it was in any kind of danger. Hope this helps explain

SUMMARY
=======
Yellowstone National Park is an American national park located in Wyoming, Montana, and Idaho. It was established by the U.S. Congress and signed into law by President Ulysses S. Grant on March 1, 1872. Yellowstone was the first national park in the U.S. and is also widely held to be the first national park in the world. The park is known for its wildlife and its many geothermal features, especially Old Faithful geyser, one of its most popular features. It has many types of ecosystems, but the subalpine forest is the most abundant. It is part of the South Central Rockies forests ecoregion.
Native Americans have lived in the Yellowstone region for at least 11,000 years. Aside from visits by mountain men during the early-to-mid-19th century, organized exploration did not begin until the late 1860s. Management and control of the park originally fell under the jurisdiction of the Secretary of the Interior, the first being Columbus Delano. However, the U.S. Army was subsequently commissioned to oversee management of Yellowstone for a 30-year period between 1886 and 1916. In 1917, administration of the park was transferred to the National Park Service, which had been created the previous year. Hundreds of structures have been built and are protected for their architectural and historical significance, and researchers have examined more than a thousand archaeological sites.
Yellowstone National Park spans an area of 3,468.4 square miles (8,983 km2), comprising lakes, canyons, rivers and mountain ranges. Yellowstone Lake is one of the largest high-elevation lakes in North America and is centered over the Yellowstone Caldera, the largest supervolcano on the continent. The caldera is considered an active volcano. It has erupted with tremendous force several times in the last two million years. Half of the world's geysers and hydrothermal features are in Yellowstone, fueled by this ongoing volcanism. Lava flows and rocks from volcanic eruptions cover most of the land area of Yellowstone. The park is the centerpiece of the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem, the largest remaining nearly-intact ecosystem in the Earth's northern temperate zone. In 1978, Yellowstone was named a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Hundreds of species of mammals, birds, fish, and reptiles have been documented, including several that are either endangered or threatened. The vast forests and grasslands also include unique species of plants. Yellowstone Park is the largest and most famous megafauna location in the contiguous United States. Grizzly bears, wolves, and free-ranging herds of bison and elk live in this park. The Yellowstone Park bison herd is the oldest and largest public bison herd in the United States. Forest fires occur in the park each year; in the large forest fires of 1988, nearly one third of the park was burnt. Yellowstone has numerous recreational opportunities, including hiking, camping, boating, fishing and sightseeing. Paved roads provide close access to the major geothermal areas as well as some of the lakes and waterfalls. During the winter, visitors often access the park by way of guided tours that use either snow coaches or snowmobiles.
