Hubei Park Stands Out at China International Garden Expo
The 10th China International Garden Expo opened Friday in Wuhan, capital of central China's Hubei Province.
Among the 117 parks in the Expo, the Hubei Park styled with Chu-Han Culture stands out as the biggest one, covering an area of 15 thousand square meters. Decorated with waterfalls and brooks, the Hubei Park is also innovative with the unique stone carving, Yin Zhang Zhen, where most tourists will find their family names carved.
Yang Lin, designer of the Hubei Park, explained that his inspiration in designing the Yin Zhang Zhen came from Shen Kuo's The Dream Pool Essays in Northern Song Dynasty (960-1127), and Bi Sheng, the Chinese inventor of the movable type printing.
The scenery, Yin Zhang Zhen, came from the part which talks about Bi Sheng in The Dream Pool Essays. We have taken advantage of the movable type printing here on the stone to carve out the important family and clan name, Xiong, in Chu Dynasty (927-951), Yang said.
The Expo will open until June next year. Instrument performances and ancient plays will be staged inside parks during the opening period. More on:

Wuhan Garden Expo in central China’s Hubei province released a flower viewing map on February 25, 2016, local media reported. From February to March, nine kinds of flowers such as orychophragmus violaceus and wild prunus serrulata take the lead to blossom, other flowers in spring including sakura, malus spectabilis, alpine rose, spring flowering azalea.(see more:

I am living in Huizhou (惠州), China and studying in Wuhan (武汉). This is a VLOG for record when I was travelled to a retro town Hankouli (汉口里), Wuhan in March 17, 2019.
Hankouli, built on the east gate of Yuanboyuan, is one of the four main buildings of Wuhan International Garden Expo 2015. Hankouli is the east entrance service area of Yuanboyuan during the Garden Expo. It is also a tourist street that displays the history and culture of Han dynasty.

The way of identifying the direction in Wuhan is cute and different from international practices, left bank or right bank, or the standard four directions. People there use upstream, downstream, upward, downward, left, and right to identify. If you are a northerner, you would better not to ask, where is the north. Because most of the natives cannot find the north.

A very very quiet coffee shop, just a few minutes walking from the bustling Garden Expo. The shop offers different kinds of coffee, from espresso based, filtered coffee etc.
Despite the fact that can only serve a double shot espresso (instead of a single shop, as I like it), doesn’t withhold me from taking a coffee here from time to time.

Hey peoples! We went hunting for Cherry Blossoms today at Gucun Park and Garden. The Park opens up at 6am and I would suggest getting there early in the day and leaving by 12/1pm (Cause it gets crazy afterwards)
Most of the Cherry Blossoms hadn’t blossomed but there were a few good ones. And to the girls dressed in traditional clothing who’s photoshoot we jumped into… Thanks!
