Video of Dutch fire inferno as blaze destroys chemical storage in Rotterdam
Firefighters were fighting a huge blaze at a chemical storage and packing company in the Netherlands on Thursday. The fire started early on Wednesday afternoon at Chemie-Pack Nederland BV in an industrial estate in the southern town of Moerdijk, sending a towering plume of thick smoke into the air and causing several powerful blasts, apparently as storage tanks exploded. Police said none of the company's 50 staff were injured.

STORYLINE:
Former Bosnian Serb wartime leader Radovan Karadzic was transferred to a U.N. jail cell Wednesday to await trial on charges of
waging a genocidal war against non-Serbs during the Balkan wars of the 1990s.
A plane believed to be carrying Karadzic landed in the Netherlands on Wednesday morning.
The plane was sighted at Rotterdam airport, where helicopters and cars were waiting to whisk Karadzic to a UN detention centre near the court in The Hague where he will stand trial.
Dutch police and United Nations tribunal officials had been waiting at the airport for several hours, preparing for the arrival of Karadzic who was in the process of being extradited from Serbia.
Police helicopters and vans with tinted windows were waiting at Rotterdam airport, the closest of several air fields where the jet carrying Karadzic could land.
The Serbian government said in a statement issued early on Wednesday that its justice ministry had issued a decree that allowed Karadzic's handover.
Officials at the jail near The Hague cleared the courtyard to enable a helicopter to land, although it was unclear whether Karadzic will be brought by helicopter or car.
At the jail, Karadzic will go through an identification process and a medical check.
The jail of the UN Yugoslav tribunal is in a separate wing of a Dutch maximum security prison in Scheveningen, a coastal suburb of The Hague, a short commute by prison car to the court where Karadzic will stand trial.
Karadzic faces 11 counts including genocide, extermination and persecution.
Prosecutors allege he masterminded atrocities including the 1995 massacre of 8-thousand Muslim men and boys in the Bosnian town of Srebrenica and the deadly siege of Sarajevo.
Karadzic is expected to be summoned before a judge within a day or two and will be asked to enter a plea to each of the 11 charges.
He may postpone his plea for up to 30 days, however.
It is likely to be several months before the trial begins, and could take several years before it concludes.

Onze acteurs zijn geïnstrueerd om de ‘gevangenen’ onder controle en binnen de gevangenismuren te houden. Je ervaart het gevangenisleven en je moet wezenlijke keuzes maken die wellicht tot jouw ontsnapping kunnen leiden. Ons doel is om jou het gevoel te geven dat jij in een film bent gestapt. STORYLINE:
Jailed war crimes suspect Ratko Mladic visited the grave of his daughter on Tuesday amid heavy security outside the Belgrade prison where he has been kept since his arrest last week.
Serbia's deputy war crimes prosecutor said that officials allowed Mladic to leave his jail cell to make the early morning visit.
A convoy of vehicles was seen returning to the jail as nearby roads were cordoned off and armed men stood guard in the street outside the detention centre.
Mladic's daughter Ana committed suicide in 1994 at the age of 23 with her father's pistol.
Media reports at the time said she did it because of depression caused by her father's role in the war.
The former Bosnian Serb general has always claimed she was killed by his wartime enemies.
Mladic is awaiting extradition to the UN war crimes tribunal in The Hague, Netherlands.
He was arrested last Thursday in a village north of Belgrade after 16 years on the run.
Mladic is charged by the tribunal for atrocities committed by his Serb troops during Bosnia's 1992-95 war.
