Goole is a town, civil parish and inland port located at junction 36 off the M62 via the A614 and approximately 45 miles from the North Sea at the confluence of the rivers Don and Ouse in the East Riding of Yorkshire, England, although historically within the West Riding of Yorkshire. Goole lies 19 miles south of York and 29 miles west of Hull. According to the 2011 UK census, Goole parish had a population of 19,518, an increase on the 2001 UK census figure of 17,600.     Snaith is a town in the East Riding of Yorkshire, England, approximately 6 miles west of Goole on the A1041 at its junction with the A645. It is 1 mile to the north of the M62 motorway, just south of the River Aire. The town of Snaith with the villages of East Cowick and West Cowick form the civil parish of Snaith and Cowick. The Snaith and Cowick civil parish had 3,579 inhabitants and 1,492 households in the 2011 UK census. This was an increase on 3,028 inhabitants and 1,228 households in the 2001 UK census.
