The Drumheller portion of the Red Deer River valley, often referred to as Dinosaur Valley, has an approximate width of 2 kilometres and an approximate length of 28 kilometres .

Buffalo Lake Campground | Alberta Camping Review

Also known to the locals as Boss Hill, Buffalo Lake Provincial Recreation Area is one of three campgrounds on central Alberta's Buffalo Lake. Located on highway 56 north of Stettler, Alberta, Canada, about 2 1/2 hours northeast of Calgary.

Take a walk down the shoreline or along the small beach, watch for owls, song birds and deer in the surrounding forest, or take a boat out on to the lake for some great fishing. Waterskiing and wind surfing are also popular activities on the water.

This campground has 28 sites with camping fees of $22/night. There is no services available and no potable water available at the campground itself.
