Llanfairpwllgwyngyll or Llanfair Pwllgwyngyll is a large village and local government community on the island of Anglesey in Wales, on the Menai Strait next to the Britannia Bridge and across the strait from Bangor. The name has been alternately shortened and lengthened , and is also known as Llanfair PG. At the 2001 census, the population of the community was 3,040, 76% of whom spoke the Welsh language fluently; the highest percentage of speakers were in the 10–14 age group, where 97% spoke Welsh.
