The Hound of the Baskervilles is the third of the crime novels written by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle featuring the detective Sherlock Holmes. Originally serialised in The Strand Magazine from August 1901 to April 1902, it is set largely on Dartmoor in Devon in England's West Country and tells the story of an attempted murder inspired by the legend of a fearsome, diabolical hound of supernatural origin. Mandurah is a coastal city in Western Australia, situated approximately 72 kilometres south of the state capital, Perth. It is the state's second-largest city, with a population just ahead of that of Bunbury. Mandurah's central business district is located on the Mandurah Estuary, which is an outlet for the Peel Inlet and Harvey Estuary. The city takes its name from a Noongar word meaning meeting place or trading place. A townsite for Mandurah was laid out in 1831, two years after the establishment of the Swan River Colony, but attracted few residents. Until the post-war boom of the 1950s and 1960s it was little more than a small fishing village. While Brad slaves away improving the Cape Raoul hiking trail Agnes spends time with Sarge on White Beach which is just outside Nubeena.

On the weekends the Salamanca Market is well worth exploring. There is something for everyone - wool, crafts, music and our favourite FOOD carts.

Not too far from Hobart is the historic town of Richmond with Tasmania's only gaol in it's original condition. There we uncover more of Tasmania's convict and colonial past. This quaint town is full of charm and history including the Richmond Bridge. Be sure to stop into the Bakery and try their delicious scallop pies too.

Hitch-hiking down the Carretera Austral in the back of a ute

The Carretera Austral in Chilean Patagonia is possibly one of the most scenic routes I've travelled. Breathtaking mountains, forests, bumpy, windy roads. Just couldn't get enough of it. And Daniel the Israeli and I had the best seat in the house to see it all whilst travelling between Villa Cerro Castillo and Puerto Rio Tranquilo. Just found this little snippet whilst doing a long overdue clean up of my photos and videos. Gives you an idea of what the place is like.
