Maidenhead is a large market town in Berkshire, England, on the south-western bank of the River Thames. With a population of about 73,000, Maidenhead is the largest town in the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead. The town is situated 31 miles west of London, 13 miles northeast of the county town of Reading, 32 miles southeast of Oxford and 7 miles from both Henley on Thames and Windsor. The town is also currently the political constituency of the current British Prime Minister, The Hon Theresa May, she has held this role since 13 July 2016.

    Ascot Racecourse is a British racecourse, located in Ascot, Berkshire, England, which is used for thoroughbred horse racing. It is one of the leading racecourses in the United Kingdom, hosting 13 of Britain's 36 annual Group 1 horse races.The course, owned by Ascot Racecourse Ltd, enjoys close associations with the British Royal Family, being approximately 6 miles from Windsor Castle.Ascot currently stages 26 days of racing over the course of the year, comprising 18 flat meetings held between the months of May and October inclusive. It also stages important jump racing throughout the winter months. The Royal Meeting held each June, remains a major draw, its highlight being The Gold Cup. The most prestigious race is the King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Stakes run over the course in July.

    The Reading and Leeds Festivals are a pair of annual music festivals that take place in Reading and Leeds in England. The events take place simultaneously on the Friday, Saturday and Sunday of the August bank holiday weekend, sharing the same bill. The Reading Festival is held at Little John's Farm on Richfield Avenue in central Reading, near the Caversham Bridge . The Leeds event is held in Bramham Park, near Wetherby, the grounds of a historic house . Campsites are available at both sites and weekend tickets include camping. Day tickets are also sold.
