Maidenhead is a large market town in Berkshire, England, on the south-western bank of the River Thames. With a population of about 73,000, Maidenhead is the largest town in the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead. The town is situated 31 miles west of London, 13 miles northeast of the county town of Reading, 32 miles southeast of Oxford and 7 miles from both Henley on Thames and Windsor. Combe is a village and civil parish in the English county of Berkshire. It is situated in the district of West Berkshire, on the top of the downs near Walbury Hill and Combe Gibbet, overlooking the village of Inkpen and the valley of the River Kennet. Historically part of Hampshire, Combe has been administered with Berkshire since 1895. It is in the civil parish olf West Woodhay.

The Hungerford Bridge crosses the River Thames in London, and lies between Waterloo Bridge and Westminster Bridge. Owned by Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd it is a steel truss railway bridge flanked by two more recent, cable-stayed, pedestrian bridges that share the railway bridge's foundation piers, and which are named the Golden Jubilee Bridges.The north end of the bridge is Charing Cross railway station, and is near Embankment Pier and the Victoria Embankment. The south end is near Waterloo station, County Hall, the Royal Festival Hall, and the London Eye. Each pedestrian bridge has steps and lift access.

The Statue of Queen Victoria, Bangalore, is located at Queen's Park, next to Cubbon Park, Bangalore Cantonment, at the junction of 3 roads, at the border between the Cantonment and the Bangalore Pete. Home to Windsor Castle, beautiful country walks, cute quaint shops and traditional pubs, it's easy to see why Windsor is one of the most popular day trips from London.

Jumping in my Mazda CX-5, I decided to go on a bit of a road trip to Windsor. I had never been to Windsor before so I was excited to see where the Queen calls home and have a nosy around Windsor Castle.

I love going on a road trip from London and it was great exploring somewhere new too - hopefully it'll inspire you to go on a bit of a road trip yourself!
