How I found a child from a baby picture - Kumba, Cameroon.
She is a product of an inter tribal union - Bayang & Meta, in Cameroon.
In 2005, a casual snap shot led to my quest to find the person in the picture. I found her after 8 years. Only the woman who was carrying her on her back that day, was her grand mother - not her real mother. She named her BRILLIANT. Guess what? She actually is brilliant. 9 years old, in 6th grade, student president and has never been second in her class. Best subject - MATH. Plans on going to the university,then overseas for further studies to, help take care of her parents. No the parents are not married. But both are actively engaged in her life.
It took several weeks of showing her baby picture on her grand mother's back before I ran into her neighbor in the market. Even then, it took four attempts to locate her as she and her real mother were always on a mission trip, evangelizing somewhere. Last chance was at her school. That's were our conversation took place.

CAMEROON MOUNTAIN
3 things I love taking pictures of: 1-This mountain, I have lots of views from Limbe, Douala,Tiko, mile 17, Kumba, etc); 2-The Atlantic Ocean from Limbe and 3-Barombi Lake in Kumba. With the Mountain, you get different appearances depending on the season. In the rainy season, you can go for weeks without a beautiful view like this one. Yesterday, I looked up and Whao, I just jumped in my car and started driving towards Buea to capture these views. My regret, I did not have my 3-D Gopro camera powered!

No 2 wheels allowed except 2 wheeled motor bikes. Pack your car, hop on the back of an elevated Toyota 4 X 4, have a good conversation with fellow passengers and leave the driving to these bush road Pros!

Kurume - Cameroon 1990 - PART 2
In 1972, I left Cameroon without my mother's knowledge, for USA. Filled with hope to change my family and country, I returned to a good job I loved until people tried to force their non-ethical attitudes towards funds that belong to the people of Cameroon on me.
I returned to the USA in 1981, disillusioned but never faltering in my love for where my embryonic sac was buried -- KURUME.
I stayed away until 1990 and since then, it is my mission to make a difference with the little I have. Now I return several times every year to help out my communities
