Rimbey is a town in central Alberta, Canada. It is located at the junction of Highways 20 and 53 in the Blindman River valley area approximately 62 kilometres northwest of Red Deer and 145 kilometres southwest of Edmonton. Provincially, Rimbey is part of the Rimbey-Rocky Mountain House-Sundre electoral district and federally in the Wetaskiwin riding.

The Reynolds-Alberta Museum, in Wetaskiwin, Alberta, Canada is one of 19 provincially owned and operated historic sites and museums. It traces the mechanization of Alberta's transportation, aviation, agricultural, and industrial past from the 1890s to present, as cars and trucks replaced horse-drawn buggies and wagons, huge factories replaced the village blacksmith shop, and mechanized equipment replaced animal and human-powered farm implements. The stories told by each exhibit reveal how the daily lives of Albertans were affected during this period of rapid change. July 18 2011 chase: Camrose, Wetaskiwin, Millet Alberta

We set out to chase early in the day betting on eastern Alberta but ended up going back west to check out a weak cell coming from the foothills, as we got close it exploded from modest high based thunderstorm to a monster supercell after passing pigeon lake. By the time we got to it were were trying to stay ahead of the hailcore until we used highway 21 to get south and around to the back of the storm. by the time the storm passed #21 it cycled(weaken and reorganize) so we decided to instead check out a new system farther west. We stopped in Wetaskiwin and took a little too long to get moving so we stuck around and filed the hurricane and the damage it caused. The storms then speed up and we used the rest of the day to see the damage including Millet, checked on my dads house(the tree in the back blew over) and headed east and found the worst hit area. Trees were stripped bare and hail fog was thick in places, Siding and windows facing the wind were severely damaged and crops were turned to mulch, the bright green ground seen at the end of the video used to be a healthy waist high Canola crop. Tall grass, crops, and weeds were scoured bare. though damage was very severe it was linear(in one direction) thus not cause by a tornado. The wind damage is likely the work of several microbursts packing more than 160km/h winds

On of many severe storms in Alberta, more south than the storms the day before.
