Eastrington is a small village and civil parish in the East Riding of Yorkshire, England. It is situated approximately 3 miles to the east of Howden and 17 miles south east of York. The civil parish is formed by the village of Eastrington and the hamlets of Newland, Owsthorpe and Portington. According to the 2011 UK Census, Eastrington parish had a population of 1,147, an increase on the 2001 UK Census figure of 880. Eastrington lies within the Parliamentary constituency of Haltemprice and Howden an area that mainly consists of middle class suburbs, towns and villages. 1. National Centre for Birds of Prey Helmsley
The International Centre for Birds of Prey, formerly the National Birds of Prey Centre, in the United Kingdom houses a large collection of birds of prey with over 60 species of owls, eagles and hawks. It works towards the conservation of birds of prey through education, captive breeding, research and rehabilitation. The centre is located at Boulsdon near Newent in Gloucestershire. The Director is Jemima Parry-Jones. In March 2013 a new branch was opened at Duncombe Park in Helmsley, North Yorkshire.

The Long Lover Lark Endurance GB ride

A beautiful training ride, held on 3 July 2011, from Shelf, near Halifax. Not a fast ride, but then this is the Pennines, and the views were 'take your breath away' stunning. Some serious hill work - there is a reason Yorkshire endurance horses are so fit!
