Alcochete is a municipality in Portugal. The population in 2011 was 17,569, in an area of 128.36 km². The municipality is composed of three parishes and is located in Setúbal District. The present mayor is Luís Franco, elected by the Democratic Unity Coalition. The municipal holiday is June 24. The largest outlet mall in the Iberian Peninsula, Freeport Designer Outlet, is just outside town. Alcochete is known for its bullfighting tradition and its proximity to the longest bridge in Europe, the Vasco da Gama Bridge.     The BSWW Mundialito, sometimes simply known as Mundialito, is an annual international beach soccer tournament that takes place between few select countries, which are invited to play at the tournament organized by Beach Soccer Worldwide . First played in 1994 at Copacabana beach, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, the competition was reignited in 1997 in Portugal, where it has been held ever since. Few nations have won the tournament, those being only Brazil, Portugal, United States and Spain. The first Mundialito competition to consist of club teams took place in March 2011, known as the Mundialito de Clubes.
