Places to see in ( Doncaster - UK ) Sandall Park

Sandall Park is a park in Doncaster, South Yorkshire, England. Sandall Park covers 69 acres and is located in Wheatley and is the one of the biggest leisure parks in Doncaster.

Before 1841 the land was the site of a brick works and the lake is a result of the extraction of clay from the area. Sandall Park was 1940 before the park was officially opened as a park.

Sandall Park plays host to 3 football pitches, 1 fishing lake which prior to 1980s the lake had small boats for park users to use hence the park is known locally as the 'Boating Lake' which is now used for angling. There is also a smaller pond named 'the bog pond'.

The Friends of Sandall Park is a registered charity formed in 2003 which is committed to the promotion, support, assistance and regeneration of the park. In 2011 the group won the Queen's Award for Voluntary Service. The award which is the equivalent to an MBE and is the highest award that can be made to a voluntary group

Snow In Redditch, UK 18/12/2010 Part 1

Saturday morning 18th December 2010 and the first proper snow of the winter to hit the midlands. By the end of the day, atleast 8 inches of snow had fallen. This short video highlights our journey from Studley to Redditch. I have sped up the video, I was not driving the car that fast and I do not have super speed wipers either.
