Kyushu is home to dialects of Japanese that are almost incomprehensible to speakers of standard Japanese -so much so that it was utilised during World War 2 for preventing interception by the Allies of Japanese communications. Even native speakers of Japanese from Honshu often have problems understanding the conversations of locals. However, all people are able to speak standard Japanese and especially in the cities younger people may also have a limited command of English.

Bạn có thể chọn phương tiện là xe đạp, đi bộ, hoặc đi xe có người kéo. Xe đạp giá thuê trên 3 tiếng khoảng 850yen, tuy nhiên người đi bộ xung quanh Arashiyama đông nên rất khó len lỏi bằng xe đạp qua dòng người.
Đi bộ là phương án Phuotvivu đã sử dụng, một ngày đi hết mấy đền tới khoảng mấy cây số, nhưng đi chậm có thể ngắm cảnh này nọ và tạt vào bất kỳ nhà hàng dễ thương nào bên đường, cực kỳ thú vị.
Ở tourist information ngoài trạm JR Arashiyama có một bản đồ hướng dẫn siêu chi tiết những điểm tham quan bạn cần đi kèm hình và bản đồ, bạn nên lấy bản đồ đó để biết chỗ nào cần đi.
Những đền ở Arashiyama mà Phuotvivu cho là ấn tượng nhất
Gioji temple: đền này ít người tới vì hơi xa nhưng đi bộ từ trạm JR chỉ 2 km mà trên đường đi cảnh siêu đẹp, lại có nhiều nhà hàng dễ thương trên đường, đây là cung đường Phuotvivu thấy đẹp nhất ở Kyoto.
Đền Tenryuji: đứng hạng 3 trong list của Phuotvivu về các đền đẹp nhất ở Kyoto.
Còn các đền khác tuỳ theo kinh phí của mỗi người mà quyết định đi hay không.
Đi tàu du lịch tham quan Arashiyama
Bên tay trái JR Arashiyama có trạm tàu du lịch Torokko, tàu này sẽ đưa bạn ngắm cảnh hùng vĩ của dòng sông Arashiyama bên cạnh rừng trúc. Tàu thường có chuyến sớm nhất vào lúc 9:07 và bạn phải xếp hàng rất đông.
Khu vực Gion
Gion là nơi nổi tiếng ăn chơi từ thời phong kiến đến hiện tại ở Kyoto, nếu bạn đã từng nghe đến Geisha thì Gion chính là nơi bạn may mắn có thể thấy một vài geisha, tuy là rất hiếm. The Saga Prefectural Tourism Federation has produced a video, “Finding Hidden Gems in SAGA,Japan to promote the use of Saga Prefecture’s official tourism app “DOGANSHITATO?” to explore Saga’s beautiful scenery, delicious food and hot springs. Today, the Saga Prefectural Tourism Federation will release the video on its official channel, featuring Micaela's travel around Saga while using the tourism app’s substantial contents.
Saga Prefecture, which faces out onto two unique bodies of water, the Genkai Sea and the Ariake Sea, has plenty of amazing sightseeing spots such as its scenic coastline and Japan’s biggest tideland! The video begins from the Kyushu Saga International Airport, as Micaela meets the app's mascot Tsubozamurai, and pays a visit to the hot springs of Ureshino City, which rank in the top three hot springs in Japan for beautifying the skin. She then experiences pottery making in the famous ceramic town, Arita, while also taking a stroll through the town's Uchiyama area, designated as a conservation area for historically important buildings. Micaela also tries out Karatsu's live squid sashimi. As she continues her travels, she is drawn to the beautiful, gaze-stealing scenery.
Saga Prefecture’s official tourism app, “DOGANSHITATO?” lists helpful info for travelers in Saga, such as sightseeing spots, accommodations and restaurants, and is available in six languages: Japanese, English, Korean, Chinese (Simplified and Traditional) and Thai. 일본에 끌려온 조선 도공들의 이야기를 찾아 아리타로 향했다. 아리타는 일본자기가 시작된 곳이다. 도자기 마을답게 거리 곳곳에 도자기가게가 있다. 아리타가 이렇게 일본 자기의 고향이된 배경에는 자기의 시조, 도조로 받드는 조선출신의 도공 이삼평이 있다. 거리가 갑자기 소란스럽다. 특별한 행사가 있는 모양이다. 용 모형을 든 아이들이 언덕 위계단을 오른다. 다시 아이들이 가파른 계단을 오른다. 아이들이 향한 곳은 이삼평을 함께 모신 도산신사다. 도조를 모신 신사답게 입구의 도리이부터 자기로 되어 있다. 경내에도 자기로 된 항아리와 기둥장식들이 있다. 파란하늘과 구름을 닮은 자기문양이 아름답다. 이 신사는 350년이 넘은 오래된 신사다. 그런데 1917년, 아리타 자기 300주년에 이삼평을 도조로 함께 모시면서 이름이 도산신사가 되었다. 이삼평은 어떻게 일본자기의 시조가 되었을까? 마을 외곽에 그 답을 보여 주는 장소가 있다. 이즈미야마 자석장이다. 4백년전 산이 있던 자리가 큰 구덩이로 바뀌었다. 정유재란 때 일본에 끌려 와 아리타 도자기 책임자가 된 이삼평은 이곳에서질이 좋은 백토 광산을 발견한다. 그리고 일본 최초의 백자를 만든다. “굉장한 분이죠. 이곳을 발견해서 아리타가 이렇게 크게 발전했으니까요. 자기에 쓸 흙을 찾아 돌아다니다 결국 찾아낸 곳이 이곳입니다.” 자석장 오른쪽으로 돌아가면 광산 석공들이 세운 작은 신사가 나온다. 신사 옆에는 이삼평의 도자기 조각상이 모셔져 있다. 흰 옷을 입고 고요히 앉아 깊은 생각에 잠겨 있다.
