Avoca is a small town near Arklow, in County Wicklow, Ireland. It is situated on the River Avoca. The Avoca area has been associated with its famous copper mines for many years and the valley has been celebrated by Thomas Moore in the famous song The Meeting of the Waters. The name of the song derives from the meeting of the Avonmore and Avonbeg rivers, about two miles from the village of Avoca. The Avoca Homestead Complex is an heritage-listed former station homestead and station facilities and now catered accommodation and visitor attraction at 1122a Low Darling Road, Wentworth, in the Wentworth Shire, New South Wales, Australia. It was built between 1871 and 1879. It is also known as the Avoca Station Homestead and outbuildings. It was added to the New South Wales State Heritage Register on 8 April 2016.

Riverside Gardens is a neighborhood of Louisville, Kentucky centered along Campground Road and Lees Lane. In 2007, the first stretch of the proposed 110-mile Louisville Loop bike and pedestrian trail was completed to Lees Lane in Riverside Gardens from Riverview Park. The project included a $2 million bridge over Mill Creek. The concrete trail is expected to be connected to Shawnee Park by spring of 2008. In the future, a wharf and riverfront park is planned for Riverside Gardens. As of 2000, Riverside Gardens had an estimated population of 1,238.

The Wicklow Mountains form the largest continuous upland area in Ireland. They occupy the whole centre of County Wicklow and stretch outside its borders into Counties Dublin, Wexford and Carlow. Where the mountains extend into County Dublin, they are known locally as the Dublin Mountains . The highest peak is Lugnaquilla at 925 metres . The mountains are primarily composed of granite surrounded by an envelope of mica-schist and much older rocks such as quartzite. They were pushed up during the Caledonian orogeny at the start of the Devonian period and form part of the Leinster Chain, the largest continuous area of granite in Ireland and Britain. Brú na Bóinne or Boyne valley tombs, is an area in County Meath, Ireland, located in a bend of the River Boyne. It contains one of the world's most important prehistoric landscapes dating from the Neolithic period, including the large Megalithic passage graves of Knowth, Newgrange and Dowth as well as some 90 additional monuments. The archaeological culture associated with these sites is called the Boyne culture. Since 1993 the site has been a World Heritage Site designated by UNESCO, known since 2013 as Brú na Bóinne - Archaeological Ensemble of the Bend of the Boyne.

My homage to a little valley in Co. Wicklow, Ireland. If you've never been to Ireland, then you've probably never heard of it - if you have been to Ireland, then you probably remember it with warm and fuzzy feelings in your heart.

This video shows why I adore this beautiful place and treasure my memories of it.
