Rad+Reisen Danube Cycle Path tour. Hotel to Hotel bag transfer and you bike yourself to next hotel without any guide. Great weather for this trip. Vienna to Bad Deutsch-Altenburg to Bratislava to Gyor to Komarno to Budapest in a week. Easy bike ride along the Danube Donau. I would rate the trip a 6 out of 10. The bike instructions where outdated and trail conditions in some area were not to good. Farmers fields. Hotels were all good and and felt safe the entire time. Easy bike trip for anyone who rides 20 miles a week.

Vienna is the federal capital, largest city and one of nine states of Austria. Apart from being regarded as the City of Music because of its musical legacy, Vienna is also said to be The City of Dreams because it was home to the world's first psychoanalyst – Sigmund Freud.The city's roots lie in early Celtic and Roman settlements that transformed into a Medieval and Baroque city, and then the capital of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. It is well known for having played an essential role as a leading European music centre, from the great age of Viennese Classicism through the early part of the 20th century. The historic centre of Vienna is rich in architectural ensembles, including Baroque castles and gardens, and the late-19th-century Ringstraße lined with grand buildings, monuments and parks.
Vienna is known for its high quality of life. In a 2005 study of 127 world cities, the Economist Intelligence Unit ranked the city first (in a tie with Vancouver and San Francisco) for the world's most liveable cities. Between 2011 and 2015, Vienna was ranked second, behind Melbourne. In 2018, it replaced Melbourne as the number one spot. For ten consecutive years (2009–2019), the human-resource-consulting firm Mercer ranked Vienna first in its annual Quality of Living survey of hundreds of cities around the world.Monocle's 2015 Quality of Life Survey ranked Vienna second on a list of the top 25 cities in the world to make a base within.
The UN-Habitat classified Vienna as the most prosperous city in the world in 2012/2013. Hallstatt is a village on Lake Hallstatt's western shore in Austria's mountainous Salzkammergut region. Its 16th-century Alpine houses and alleyways are home to cafes and shops. A funicular railway connects to Salzwelten, an ancient salt mine with a subterranean salt lake, and to Skywalk Hallstatt viewing platform. A trail leads to the Echern Valley glacier garden with glacial potholes and Waldbachstrub Waterfall.

Das 10. Landestrachtentreffen von Thüringen in Brotterode
Mit dem Umzug beschlossen 50 Gruppen und über 1000 Mitwirkende das traditionelle Fest in Brotterode.
Vorbei an zwei Festbühnen und tausenden Besuchern zogen über 50 Trachtenvereine aus ganz Deutschland und einige aus Österreich. Diese präsentierten ihre teils praktisch, teils sehr aufwendig ausgestattete traditionelle Bekleidung. Voran marschierten die Gastgeber aus Brotterode mit ihrer Tracht. Ebenso zeigten die Trusetaler im Block des Landesverbandes Thüringer Trachten ihre traditionelle Bekleidung.

Die herrliche Landschaft wird erschlossen durch zahlreiche Spazier- und Wanderwege,
besonders hervorzuheben sind Themenwanderwege wie der Pendellehrpfad, der Bierlehrpfad,
der Burgen- und Schlösserweg, der Reischekweg und der Naturlehrpfad am Pienkenhof.
Der Pienkenhof ist zudem eine junge innovative Kulturwerkstatt mit vielen Angeboten.
Über Kefermarkt thront Schloss Weinberg, weit über die Grenzen des Mühlviertels hinaus bekannt auch durch den Weinberger Schloss-Advent – ein Highlight im Jahresablauf.
Im 13. Jahrhundert erstmals urkundlich erwähnt, beherbergt es jetzt ein Bildungs- und Veranstaltungszentrum des Landes Oberösterreich. Das ganze Jahr über finden hier hochkarätige Konzerte, Tagungen und Seminare statt.
Schloss Weinberg ist jedenfalls einen Besuch wert. Im Rahmen einer Führung besichtigen sie die herrschaftlichen Prunkräume und vom Schlossturm können sie einen Blick weit ins Land hinein werfen.
Ein ganz besonderes Flair genießt man, wenn man auf dem Schloss Weinberg Hochzeit feiert.
Das einmalig märchenhafte Ambiente lädt dazu ein, den schönsten Tag im Leben auf Schloss Weinberg zu verbringen.
Die Pfarrkirche Kefermarkt beherbergt den einzigartigen weltberühmten Flügelaltar, der zu den größten gotischen Schnitz-Kunstwerken Europas gehört. Der Altar wurde gegen Ende des 15. Jahrhunderts von einem bis heute unbekannten Meister aus Lindenholz geschaffen.
In der Mitte des Schreins steht der Kirchenpatron St. Wolfgang.
Überlebensgroß, aus einem Stück Holz geschnitten, grüßt er die Pilger die diese Wallfahrtsstätte besuchen. Neben ihm stehen die Heiligen Petrus und Christophorus. Die vier Flügelbilder erzählen aus dem Leben Mariens.
Erspüren auch sie diese ganz besondere Segenstätte – alleine oder bei einer sehr empfehlenswerten persönlichen Führung.
Dass sie in Kefermarkt von der Gastronomie besonders verwöhnt werden, braucht eigentlich nicht extra betont zu werden. Erwähnt werden soll aber doch das ausgezeichnete selbstgebraute Bier der Ersten OÖ Gasthausbrauerei.
Kefermarkt ist ein Ort für ganz besondere Stunden,
