The Batang Padang District is a district in Perak, Malaysia. This district is administered by a local councils, namely, the Tapah District Council, based in Tapah. The major towns of Batang Padang are Bidor, Tapah and Sungkai. In August 2007 the Perak Government announced the discovery of large water aquifers at Batang Padang. They plan to sell the water to neighbouring Selangor to help solve future water shortage problems in that state.

  • 4. Gua Tempurung Gopeng
    Tempurung Cave is a cave in Gopeng, Perak, Malaysia. It is popular among spelunkers, or caving enthusiasts. More than 3 km long, it is one of the longest caves in Peninsula Malaysia. Part of it has been developed as a show cave with electric lighting and walkways and there are a range of tours of different lengths and difficulty. A fine river cave, the river passage runs about 1.6 km through the hill. There are three very large chambers and some spectacular stalactites and stalagmites. There are plans to develop the surrounding area. By the end of 2006 a go kart centre and a horse riding area had opened.

    The Kuala Selangor Nature Park is a park located by the mouth of Selangor River in Kuala Selangor District, Selangor, Malaysia. It was established by the Selangor state government in 1987 and has been managed by the Malaysian Nature Society on behalf of the state government ever since the park's establishment. With a total area of 2.4 km2 , the park is a combination of secondary forest and wetland with a man-made coastal bund separating the wetland from the forest. Inside the park itself is a large pond surrounded by another bund. A water lock connecting the pond with the river controls the water level of the pond.
