La 'bandera azul' es un distintivo internacional que premia el cumplimiento de unos estándares establecidos tales como la accesibilidad o la calidad de las aguas.España ha conseguido un total de 638 'banderas azules' en 2012 , 540 de ellas en playas, consiguiendo su mejor resultado histórico tras sumar 35 banderas a las 603 alcanzadas el año pasado. España se mantiene a la cabeza de los 46 estados participantes del hemisferio norte. Este resultado coincide con el 25 aniversario de la creación de este premio medioambiental y de calidad.
The 'blue flag' is a international distinctive which awards the compliance of some established standards such as accessibility or water quality. Spain has won a total of 638 'blue flags' in 2012, 540 of them on beaches, getting its best historical result,adding 35 flags to the 603 reached last year. Spain leads the ranking of the 46 participating states of the northern hemisphere. This result coincides with the 25th anniversary of the creation of this environmental and quality award.
