Tour of Dolomite Caves, Czech Republic
The Bozkov Dolomite Caves are situated on the northern slope of the Bozkov village in the hilly landscape of the Krkonoše foothills. The entrance into the underground space was discovered by dolomite miners in the 1940s, but only in 1957 the underground system of fissure corridors, partly filled with water, was discovered. The Bozkov dolomite caves is a labyrinth of underground corridors and cavities situated not very deep under the surface. The typical and unique decorations of the accessible caves consist in quartz ledges and listels in walls and ceilings. Some of the hollows are even filled with stalactites and stalagmites, including interesting small eccentric stalactites and stalagmites, in addition to the traditional calcite decoration. Attractive items of the sighseeing route also include underground lakes with crystal-clear blue-greenish water. The Bozkov dolomite caves is the only cave system in North Bohemia accessible to the public. The caves and their surroundings is a protected area conditioned by the nature and landscape protection law.

Lyžařský areál Bouřňák. Větrné turbíny / Ski Resort Bouřňák. Wind Turbines
Bouřňák (německy Stürmer) je vrchol, nacházející se v Loučenské hornatině, ve východní části Krušných hor. Se svými 869 m n. m. je druhou nejvyšší horou Teplicka. Na Bouřňáku je lyžařské středisko. Na vrcholu stojí horský hotel, který se dnes nazývá Hotel Bouřňák - Chata Karla Líma. Od roku 1975 je na ní umístěna pamětní deska Karla Líma, který byl na začátku 20. století v Krušných horách prvním českým lyžařem a zasloužil se o stavbu první české chaty v Krušných horách. Základní kámen byl položen roku 1928 a v roce 1930 byla chata otevřena. Karel Lím také pojmenoval kopec Stürmer jako Bouřňák.
Na Bouřňáku je šest sjezdovek (1 mírná, 4 středně náročné a 1 obtížná), z nichž si vybere jak začínající, tak velmi zkušený lyžař. Z Mikulova vedou na Bouřňák dva vleky. Dvoukotva končí těsně pod vrcholem na Slalomovém svahu. Poma pokračuje ještě několik desítek metrů dál, blíž k ostatním sjezdovkám. Pro děti a úplné začátečníky je k dispozici kousek od parkoviště v Mikulově cvičný svah se dvěma vleky. Jeden je 380m dlouhá Poma (tyč s talířkem mezi nohy), druhý vlek je dlouhý 200m a je to lano s pevnými unášeči, o které se lyžař opírá nebo se za ně drží. V horní části Hrobské sjezdovky je několik technických prvků pro příznivce snowboardingu. Výchozí přístup k vlekům je od parkoviště v Mikulově nebo při dobré sjízdnosti silnice z Mikulova na Moldavu lze využít i parkoviště v Moldavě - Novém Městě. Toto místo je ideálním startem pro běžkaře. Po celý rok Horská služba se sídlem na Bouřňáku zajišťuje zdravotnickou pomoc širokému okolí, v zimě především lyžařům nebo běžkařům.
Na Bouřňáku se nachází přírodní památka Buky na Bouřňáku, jedná se o větrem zdeformované buky a některé chráněné a vzácné rostliny (např. prha arnika). Podnebí je velmi studené, ročně spadne přibližně 900 mm srážek. V zimě zde bývaly výborné sněhové podmínky. Dnes kvůli oteplování zde moc sněhu nenjadete. Nedaleko Bouřňáku se nacházejí tři větrné elektrárny.

The Bouřňák (German: Stürmer which means Stormer) is one of the highest mountains in the eastern Ore Mountains on the territory of Czech Republic. The mountain is known as one of the most important ski centres of the Eastern Ore Mountains. The windswept beech forest on the northeast side of the summit, an area of 3.26 hectares, has been placed under protection since 1979 as a natural monument.
The foundation stone for the mountain hut was laid on 15 July 1928. It was built by the Czech Tourist Club (KČT). It was used by the Wehrmacht in the Second World War.
The German and Czech name of the mountain comes from the severe storms (Czech bouře, German Sturmer) that occur here.
The views are very rewarding. To the north it is somewhat obscured by the crest of the Ore Mountains, but the views to the south, east and west are impressive. Over 206 towns and villages may be seen from the summit, from Ústí to Most. In the distance Ještěd, Říp in front of Prague, the Křivoklátsko Woods, the Doupov Mountains and Kahleberg may be made out.
The Bouřňák lies in the eastern Ore Mountains, 10 kilometres northwest of Teplice and 10 kilometres southwest of Altenberg on a prominent escarpment of the Ore Mountains. At the foot of the mountain is the mining town of Mikulov and the village of Hrob. Immediately next to the shoulder of the mountain, on the crest of the Ore Mountain ridge, is the small settlement of Nové Město, today purely a resort.
The shortest way to the top runs along the road from Neustadt. Formerly the Old Freiberg to Teplitz Post Road ran along here.
The Bouřňák offers an extensive range of cross-country skiing trails and downhill runs in winter. There are several prepared trails and lifts. Since 2005 there has been a snowboard fun park.
The Mountain Rescue Service of the Czech Republic has its rescue station on the peak. It is permanently open. During the week, the station is occupied by full-time employees; at weekends, volunteers help with rescue duties.
