Coimbra é uma cidade portuguesa situada entre Lisboa e o Porto. Banhada pelo Rio Mondego, tem aproximadamente 140 mil habitantes. Antes de Lisboa ser a capital de Portugal, era Coimbra que tinha esse cargo. É uma cidade historicamente universitária, devido à Universidade de Coimbra, que foi fundada em 1290 e é uma das maiores universidades de Portugal.

Miranda do Corvo, é uma vila do distrito de Coimbra, o centro histórico de é um núcleo coeso atravessado pelo rio Dueça, a partir do qual se desenvolveu a vila. O velho casario, apesar de ter sofrido às agruras do tempo, mantém a sua integridade, resistindo assim às agressões da vida moderna.
No alto do Calvário, uma encosta onde outrora havia um castelo, o Cristo Rei abraça a vila.

Dois miradouros com acesso directo à estrada permitem a visão deste conjunto muito arborizado, dotado de infra-estruturas de apoio à praia fluvial, onde a água límpida e cristalina com pouca profundidade, vai correndo pelo leito natural entre as rochas. One of the most popular places in Vila de Rei municipality, distinguished by a natural circuit naturaly carved into the rock and the river that divides a rock mass formed by a beautiful set of waterfalls, which can be enjoyed by foot through a narrow path carved into the rock.
