Traveled cheap to on of Philippines' underrated province - Romblon! I am so happy to be back in the motherland so I decided to explore and go backpacking in the Philippines! This vlog is your complete travel guide to Romblon, Philippines! Here you'll see the beautiful Cobrador island, Looc Fish Sanctuary, Aglicay beach, Bon-bon beach, Cresta De Gallo and Carabao island! Romblong is definitely the best alternative to Boracay island this summer!

The Filipinio government doesn't want you to know about this Island!!!
I'll tell you some things I bet you didn't know. Carabao Island is just 10 mins by boat from the famous Boracay but you cannot take a boat from there. hmmmm... Furthermore, there are many different boat routes that go from Caticlan Port to various destinations around the area. Yet Carabao is not one of them. really?!
Coincidence, I think not!!!!
Carabao is a spot that you just have to check out if you are taking a trip to Caticlan, or Boracay. It has some of the most amazing cliff diving, underwater caves, white sand beaches and a sense of authenticity that Boracay will never be able to provide again.
Just 40 mins from Tabon port there are plenty of sights and activities to keep you busy for several days. We stayed at the Beach House when we were there and certainly give it a double thumbs up. All the transportation shown in the video was available from The Beach House and they can customize just about any trip or adventure you are interested in.

Things to keep in mind
1. While we were there, power was shut off for part of the day so plan to do your excursions during the no-power times (rumor is that 24 hour power is coming soon)
2. You cannot drive yourself. You must use a driver.
3. Wifi is limited
4. Carabao is going to see a lot more development as people realize that Boracay has passed its prime. Get out there as soon as you can!

GETTING TO ROMBLON ISLAND - PHILIPPINES SECRET PARADISE
How to get to Romblon Island in the Philippines?
I flew from Los Angeles, USA to Manila, the Philippines and began what turned out to be a 5-day long journey to Romblon Island with endless local flights, boats, jeepney, and tricycle rides. It is not easy to get around in the Philippines, but as you can see in the video, it was absolutely worth it!
In order to reach Romblon Island, you’ll first need to get to the Romblon province. You can do this by flying from Manila to Tugdan Airport in Tablas (TBH) and taking a jeepney, trike, or van to San Agustin. Cebu Pacific operates this flight 3 days per week.
You may need to overnight on Tablas in order to take a pump boat over. They leave daily at 8am and 1pm from San Agustin and cost 100 pesos plus a 10 pesos terminal fee. I stayed on Tablas Island for a couple of nights and it was a great, relaxing break before I continued on my journey to my final destination, Romblon Island.
Alternatively, you can fly into Caticlan Airport, ferry from Caticlan to Odiongan, and take a jeepney from there to San Agustin. It’s also worth seeing if you can go directly from Odiongan to Romblon Island, as some ferries on some days of the week stop in Odiongan on the way, like Montenegro Lines.
You can also ferry from Batangas, which is 3 hours south of Manila by bus. This is a long option but it’s the cheapest.
If you are planning a trip to Romblon Island, be sure to bring ample cash with you - sometimes the ATM on the island might not work! For more information and a complete Romblon Island hopping itinerary, check this post out:

Two of the most gorgeous places in the Philippines inside, in our opinion, our most beautifully edited episode so far! This is our part and our way of bringing population out of the over-crowded beaches of Boracay towards these places only an hour or so away.
We never expected these two islands to blow us away but it did notwithstanding an LPA during one of the days of our stay. They are beautiful no matter what the weather is!
Hopefully, the LGU of these place could keep it like this in the long run.
