Lunch trip to Muar Johor Malaysia : Great Places to Visit in Malaysia [Small Girl Big World]
I am heading to Muar Johor Malaysia for a lunch before going on with my trip to Melaka. Muar is a small town in Johor Malaysia and it is very famous for its food. One delicious food in Malaysia is named after this town, the Otak Otak Muar.

Muar (Tamil: மூவார்) is a town and the capital of Muar District, Johor, Malaysia. It is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Malaysia to be visited and explored for its food, coffee and historical buildings from the pre-war. An alternative name to it is Bandar Maharani. It is declared the Royal City of Johor by Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar and is the fourth largest city (after Johor Bahru, Batu Pahat and Kluang) in Johor. It is the main and biggest town of the bigger entity region or area of the same name, Muar which is sub-divided into the Muar district and the new Ledang district, which was upgraded into a full-fledged district from the Tangkak sub-district earlier. Muar district as the only district covering the whole area formerly borders Malacca in the northern part. Upon the upgrading of Ledang district, the Muar district now covers only the area south of Sungai Muar, whilst the northern area beyond the river is in within Ledang district. However, both divided administrative districts are still collectively and fondly called and referred to as the region or area of Muar as a whole by their residents and outsiders. Currently, the new city centre is the Bakri area in Muar. Muar town has been declare as Muar Bandar Diraja Johor.

Top best places to visit in Malacca, Malaysia
Malacca is located on the west coast of the Malay Peninsula, next to the Straits of Malacca.
Malacca, the historic state, has the outmoded feel with a laid back, leisurely pace.
The downtown area of the city is Dutch Square.
Around it are situated the most prominent buildings, such as:
Stadthuys, former town hall and one of the oldest Dutch buildings in the east.
Tang Beng Swee Clock Tower,
Queen Victoria’s Fountain,
Malaysia Youth Museum and Art Gallery,
And Christ Church.
During the day at this place is full of tourists.
The city center was listed by UNESCO as World Heritage Site.
Just a short walk from Dutch Square are located ruins of old bastion.
And in front of them is Church Of St Francis Xavier.
One of the most popular attractions are remains of Saint Paul’s Church.
Here you can feel the influence of different ruling eras Malacca witnessed.
From the Sultans to the Portuguese, the Dutch and finally the British.
Jalan Kota Street is packed with many interesting museums
Including ruins of the old A Famosa Fort,
Which was built just below the St Paul’s Church
Another place worth visiting is Proclamation Of Independence Memorial Museum.
A lot is going on along the Malacca River.
You can go to the Maritime Museum, which looks like a great ship,
Or you can visit the remains of Bastion Middleburg,
Or you can take a relaxing cruise down the river.
During its golden era it was a main trade route,
In our times it is a main tourist trail.
Just west of the river is Chinatown, a residential heart of Old Malacca.
The area is full of narrow winding streets, beautifully decorated houses, tiny shops, temples and mosques,
And Jonker Street the busiest and the most popular street of Malacca.
But this district has calm and peaceful atmosphere.
Here is a street which contains the prayer houses of the three faiths.
Including the oldest Chinese temple in Malaysia Cheng Hoon Teng Temple.
And Kampung Kling Mosque which has the mixed of Chinese, Javanese and Arab architecture.
Poh San Teng is a Chinese temple situated outside the city center.
Just next to it is famous King’s Well.
And all of this is at the foot of the largest Chinese cemetery outside of China.
Bukit China is not only a graveyard, it’s a green hill and a popular jogging spot.
And from the top is a nice view of the town.
But the best view of the Malacca is from Taming Sari.
This 110 meter tower offers breathtaking 360-degree views of the historic city and the coastline.

Suren anna, Kala anni, Letchumy, Thanvhi, Tharanee and I explored the historical city of MELAKA @ MALACCA for 4 days and 3 nights. Little bit intro bout the state:
Intro
Malacca is a state in Malaysia located in the southern region of the Malay Peninsula, next to the Strait of Malacca. The state is bordered by Negeri Sembilan to the north and west and Johor to the south. The exclave of Cape Rachado also borders Negeri Sembilan. Its capital is Malacca City, which is 148 km of Kuala Lumpur. This historical city centre has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 7 July 2008.
Day 1
Driving from Klang to Melaka took almost 3hrs with couple of stops for refreshment. Stayed in Hotel Hallmark Crown (good location, reasonable price, good staffs but lousy swimming pool). Most of the tourist spots are in walking distance from hotel.
Took lunch in Restaurant Hajah Rahmah since it was recommended by many. 2xKari Kepala Ikan Assam Pedas+4xAyam Goreng+1jug Air Tebu)=RM100. Very very expensive and overated shop. We had same ammount of food plus with lobster in middle of town doesnt cost this much. Wont recommend.
Night went to Satay Celup McQuek. Taste good but I personnaly prefer Loklok over Satay Celup Melaka. I like the shop's tag Serving Others Is Much Better Than Being Served. Reasonably priced with good service.
Day 2.
Menara Taming Sari (Taming Sari Tower) officially opened for business on the 18th of April 2008, Menara Taming Sari is the first and only gyro tower in Malaysia so far. Measuring 110 metres in height, its revolving structure offers a 360-degree panoramic view of Malacca town and beyond. Located in the popular district of Bandar Hilir on Jalan Merdeka, only 3 minutes’ walk from Mahkota Parade Shopping Complex and Dataran Pahlawan Megamall, the tower is named after the Taming Sari keris, a mythical weapon said to possess mystical powers belonging to the legendary Malay warrior, Hang Tuah. Even the structure’s design follows the shape of the keris, with the peak of the tower resembling the its hilt.
Mahkota Parade is one of Malacca’s first shopping malls, housing almost 200 stores, including international brands, food-and-beverage outlets and entertainment centres. Opened in 1994, the four-storey shopping mall was recently refurbished to embrace a modern, sleeker look, and with new exciting tenants onboard, it is set to take the shopping scene in Melaka by storm.
The Melaka River Cruise is a great way to see the sights of Melaka at a leisurely pace, in comfort and without breaking the bank. The Melaka River is where the town began and it has played a key role in Melaka's colourful history. Taking a river cruise is like seeing Melaka from the back door. A few decades ago the river was a stinking waterway lined with decaying houses on stilts and the untidy rear side of crumbling shophouses. In recent years it has had a major facelift. Yes, there has been a lot of new development but at the same time an effort has been made to preserve many of the historic buildings and bridges along the river. It cost RM10.40 per person and the ride takes 30-45mins.
Jonker Street. Chinatown – renowned for clothing and crafts outlets as well as restaurants. The best part of Jonker Street is the night market on Fridays and Saturdays that sells tasty treats.
Day 3.
Christ Church is located near to Malacca’s Chinatown centre. Across the bridge from the Jonker Street, it is one of the most popular sightseeing attractions in the Stadthuys area. Christ Church is small – once inside, right beside the front doors there is a long table with brochures and religious paraphernalia for sale set up. There are about ten rows of pews before the main altar and the whole place has old light fixtures and plenty of worn-but-well-kept tiles.
Dutch Square Malacca is the most picturesque along Jalan Kota. It's also a colourfull trishaw pickup point, it is distinguished by a group of bright, terracotta-red colonial Dutch buildings, built between 1660 and 1700, with louvered windows and chunky doors with wrought iron hinges. A central fountain dominates the area: it is an ornate Victorian marble addition, erected in 1904 to commemorate Queen Victoria’s Diamond Jubilee. One of the oldest surviving parts of Malacca, Dutch Square’s most prominent building is the Stadthuys. Presiding over the entire south side of Dutch Square it was completed in 1660 and is said to be the oldest-existing Dutch building in the East.
After all the hustle, visited Suren anna's uncle. Uncle bought us dinner in Melaka Market Food Court. Its a wet market in ther morning while at night its a very happening food court. Food is cheap, taste good and highly recommended.

Seremban - Tourist Attractions in Malaysia
Seremban is the capital of the Malaysian state of Negeri Sembilan, located within the district of Seremban, one of the seven districts of Negeri Sembilan. The town's administration is run by the Seremban Municipal Council also known as Majlis Perbandaran Seremban. 10. Kota Bharu
Often used as a stopover by many travelers visiting the beautiful Perhentian Islands, Kota Bharu offers its own unique charm, attractions, shopping and cuisine. We are in Little India Kuala Lumpur. This video tour of KL´s Little India begins at the KL Sentral Station and we make our way on foot from the NU Sentral Shopping Mall up the Jalan Tun Sambanthan Road until we reach the brick paved roads of Brickfields and the central Area of Little India in Kuala Lumpur. Little India in Brickfields is very well worth a visit whether you want to visit the Indian Shops, Indian Restaurants or just want to walk through the area and feel the Indian atmosphere. Things to do in Best Malacca.
Malacca is the capital of the state of Malacca, on the west coast of peninsular Malaysia. Visiting Malacca is a unique experience with a rich historical and cultural background from previous Portuguese, Dutch and British rule. The city centre was listed by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site in July 2008, along with Georgetown, Penang.
The older part of the city proper has, in addition to the old palace and the large buildings left by the Europeans, many private houses and shops from nearly a century or more ago, put up by Chinese traders. Many of these have beautiful details such as moulded porcelain tiles and painted plaster reliefs on the front. Unfortunately, they tend to be not well preserved and the city government decided to paint all the buildings in the historical district a bright brick red some years ago, as the constant spitting by passers-by was proving a nuisance, which detracts from their aesthetic value.
Note that on Tuesdays, many museums, shops, restaurant are closed, especially in the Jonker Street area. If you have only one day to spend in Malacca, do not go on Tuesday!
Kuantan - Tourist Attractions in Malaysia
Kuantan is the state capital of Pahang, the third largest state in Malaysia. It is near the mouth of the Kuantan River and faces the South China Sea. If one measures the distance along the east coast of Peninsular Malaysia, it is located roughly halfway between Singapore and Kota Bharu. Kuantan is the ninth largest city in Malaysia.
The National Physical Plan 2005 identified Kuantan as one of the future growth centres and a hub for trade, commerce, transportation and tourism. Kuantan is considered the social, economic and commercial hub for the East Coast of Peninsular Malaysia due to its strategic location. Rapid development has transformed and modernized Kuantan. Since 2005, Kuantan has had many development projects, including Putra Square, Mahkota Square, Bukit Gambang Water Resort, Kuantan Sentral, Pahang Tech Park and Kuantan Port City under the Kuantan District Locality Plan 2004-2015. Recently, the introduction of Malaysia's first Special Economic Zone (SEZ) at Kuantan is designed to boost the regional economy, tourism and growth. In an effort to catalyse the growth of the Kuantan Metropolitan Precinct, the government has sited a petroleum manufacturing area in Pekan, a neighbouring town.
