Chikkahole reservoir is a dam built over the river called “Chikkahole (Small River) in the small Village named ‘Chikkahole’ near Gundlupet town, in Chamarajanagar district of Karnataka State in India. the Dam is part of Chamarajanagar tourism Karnataka tourism and Karnataka Dam. This Place is in the border of Erode District of Tamil Nadu. Suvarnavathi Dam is at 3km from Chikkahole Dam. River: Chikkahole; Purpose: Irrigation,Activity since: 1958. Chikkahole Dam is about 73km from Mysuru, 197km from Bengaluru, 14km from Chamarajanagar District. Chikkahole reservoir is a dam built over the river called Chikkahole (Small River). . Chikkahole is the tributary of Suvarnavathy, originates at Hasanur ghat range to the south of C.R.Nagar flows in northerly direction. A dam is constructed across this tributary about 12kms. away from C.R.Nagar.
Chikkahole river originates at Hasanur ghat near Tamilnadu border, a dam is constructed across the tributary region at Attigulipura, Chamarajanagar taluk which provided irrigation to this area.

Gundal Dam at Kollegala Tourism , Chamrajnagar Tourism Karnataka tourism. Gundal Dam is built on River Gundal. Gundal Reservoir is located in Kollegal Taluk of , Chamrajnagar District. It is Sub-basin of river Cauvery. The Gundal Dam was Completed in the year 1980. Gundal Dam was built to help Irrigation of various villages around the area. The reservoir get filled from July To November . The drive along the roads to the dam is brilliant, except for the last 5kms to the dam entrance. This place is located in Western Ghats hill range starting from Kerala and ending in Tamilnadu. Gundal dam is constructed in between MM Hills and B.R.Hills .Few songs and scences from the Kannada movie Veera Parampare was shot here.
Gundal Dam is 158 kms from Bengaluru, 250 kms from TamilNadu, 275 kms from Kerala, 80kms from Mysore and 17kms from Kollegal town. Kollegala is one of the major taluks in the Chamrajnagar District of Karnataka State in the south of India ,at the foothills of the Western Ghats. It is also the largest taluk in Karnataka. Kollegala is well known for its silk industry which attracts traders from all over the state.

Someshwara Temple:
Built in 14th Century and is a fine example of Vijayanagara style (Dravidian Style) of architecture.
The temple is well maintained by Archaeological Survey of India (ASI).
Lord Shiva is worshiped in the form of Someshwara in this temple.
One of the main attractions of this temple is the Kalyana Mantapa (wedding stage). The art on the four pillars of the main stage is extremely beautiful. It is influenced by Chinese, Thai and Europian architecture.
Kolaramma Temple:
Kolaramma temple which is only 5 mins walk from Someshwara temple.
Goddess Parvathi worshipped in the form of Kolaramma.
The temple built by Cholas during 11th century.
Another important deity here is Chelamma (Scorpion Goddess). It is a belief that Chelamma protects a person from scorpion bites. In the room next to main shrine, images of Sapthamatrikas are kept.

Bonsai Garden at Mysore tourism Guinness World Record Kishkindha Moolika Bonsai Garden Karnataka Tourism. One of the more unique attractions of the Royal Mysore, the Bonsai Garden of Mysore is home to over a 1000 different varieties of Bonsai trees spread across this vast estate. It is a part of the Avadoota Datta Peetham of the Sri Ganapathi Sachidananda Ashrama. Initially a pet project by the fascinated Swamiji, the garden now hosts 450 miniature tree across an area of 4 acres, filled with these quirky dwarf trees. The beauty of the garden is accentuated by the stream that flows within, as well as the placement of Buddha statues and monkey statues around the area, representative of the zen culture from where the art of Bonsai was evolved.
Won the guinness world record for the largest display of bonsai trees consists of 2,649 trees and was achieved by His Holiness Sri Sri Sri Ganapathy Sachchidananda Swamiji (India) in Mysuru, Karnataka, India, on 21 December 2016.
The trees were displayed at the International Bonsai Convention and Exposition, which was held in Avadhoota Data Peetham. The International Bonsai Convention and Exposition was organised to increase awareness of the significance of an ecological balance and the protection of trees.

The garden and the exhibits have been divided into various zones within, representing different Indian traditions and beliefs as followed by the Swamiji. Thus, one can find plants with connections to the Indian zodiac system, Indian classical music, the representation of the 27 stars of traditional Indian astrology, the seven Indian sages or Saptarishi, and five plant gardens closely linked with the concept of the Mother Goddess. The garden is indeed a delight to walk through, and one can't help but appreciate the fine art and effort required to shape a 100-year-old tree within a lovely terracotta pot.
