This was easily one of the best experiences of my entire life! Not only was it amazing spending time with elephants, but once I learned about the incredible things that the Elephant Jungle Sanctuary does to help the Asian elephants, I felt even better about my decision to visit.
The Elephant Jungle Sanctuary is an ethical elephant sanctuary in Chiang Mai Thailand. Elephants that are used for riding in Thailand are abused and live a miserable life solely for the purpose of tourism.
The Elephant Jungle Sanctuary rescues these elephants, guaranteeing them a life of happiness in this large sanctuary where they can play and have fun all day, every day. And nobody ever rides them! If you visit Thailand, please, please do not support elephant riding! Visit the Elephant Jungle Sanctuary instead, where you can spend all day with elephants while making a difference.
