Daganzo de Arriba is a Spanish municipality in the Comarca de Alcalá, located in the east of Autonomous Community of Madrid. It has a population of about 9,000 , of which are mostly young families, in more recent times people have been purchasing homes in the new housing subdivisions that are being built and residing within those new neighborhoods. It is 27 km to the east-northeast of Madrid and 11 km to the north of Alcalá de Henares. It has an altitude of 673 meters above sea level and has a municipal area of 4,325 hectares.     The Royal Palace of La Granja de San Ildefonso , known as La Granja, is an early 18th-century palace in the small town of San Ildefonso, located in the hills near Segovia and 80 kilometres north of Madrid, within the Province of Segovia in central Spain. It became the summer residence of the Kings of Spain from the 1720s during the reign of Philip V. The palace is in a restrained Baroque style, surrounded by extensive gardens in the formal Jardin à la française style with sculptural fountains. It is now open to the public as a museum.
